Clean rooms. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern.

Hotellet var ikke helt som forventet. Det ser flottere ut på bildene enn det gjør i virkeligheten. Dårlig ventilasjon på rommet, og litt billige løsninger. Vær obs på at du må kjøre 15 min + gå i 50 min for å nå de varme kildene. Mathallen tilbyr variert og god mat, men det finnes ingen rooftop (som de selv sier de har). Den er lokalisert på en terrasse med et par stoler og en stengt og slitt bar. Vi opplevde generelt at vi fikk lite igjen for pengene, men dette er nok også det beste hotellet i denne byen.

The Greenhouse Hotel, was the perfect spot to land on our way around Ring Road. It was clean, modern, and full of charm. The food hall had a great variety of food choices for everyone. It was also located super close to the Thermal River, for the hiking enthusiasts.

Not sure why it is 3 star. Maybe two or a guesthouse. Nothing to do in area. Limited food options. Our towels are worn and one was ripped with big hole. Our room view is like a car repair shop or some kind of storage? We are infront also of two gas stations. Loud noise from cars and people in the street even late at night.

Trendy industrial type vibe that was actually pretty cool. Room was clean and the staff was great. Verrry solid breakfast which was included and a bunch of good dinner options right on the property.

Great hotel!

I’ll start with the cons. I stayed 6 days here and there’s is not cleaning service during that time. I wish even 1 time during my stay it will have someone changing towels and straighten my room. It was expensive so I was hoping for more. Also I get it’s not a huge hotel, but different options for breakfast would have been welcome, especially for guess that don’t eat meat. Every morning was the same options, and that was a little disappointing for me. The staff was friendly and approachable and overal my family and I had a nice time.

The hotel is nothing like the pictures. In an industrial park. Rooms are spartan and are hot. If you open the windows , you are ravaged by midges. Bed is terrible. Staff unfriendly. We sweated every night. Food is mediocre at best.

Our overall experience with Greenhouse Hotel was good. We only stayed one night. Came in at around 9 PM and left the next morning. The staff were okay and helpful, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was average.

Zimmer war ok, allerdings nicht sauber, Bettlaken leicht fleckig. Abgenutzte Handtücher. Zimmerreinigung nur auf Nachfrage ( ob Kosten hierfür extra kommen, kann ich nicht sagen ) Frühstück deutlich verbesserungsbedürftig. Sehr schöner Foodbereich und Shop

It was a very mixed experience to be honest. To put the positive sides first: If you're looking for a great variety of drinks and various kinds of foods you'll find an Icelandic Eldorado here. From Hveragerði there's plenty of opportunities to visit the typical marvellous places of the Golden Circle and many more. There are shops inside the hotel where you can buy clothes, souvenirs and more. There are shops around the hotel as well. But there have been more disturbing things about it in our opinion. The rooms were very basic and not very comfortable. They became quite hot during day and night, an open window couldn't handle that problem. Every night we had screaming people on the hotel floor next to our door, slamming doors and preventing sleep till late at night. We checked out before the actual end of our stay and fortunately got another hotel. The last day we had dozens of black flies in our room leaving as many itchy bites on our skin. Breakfast was below standard, if you want more special items you have to pay for it. Our conclusion: if you're a young hipster who loves to party all night, meet many people and just need a simple room you're at the right adress here. If you enjoy coziness, comfortable and cool rooms and prefer a good night's sleep we would not recommend it.

I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to heading back to the airport. I would highly highly recommend both the town and the hotel for at least a day or two. I packed so much into the day including an early morning thermal hotspring hike (recommend!), lunch at the taco place in the hotel (yes you read that right - there is a dining hall with multiple choices like a really high quality mall food court), then an ice bike guided mountain bike (honestly a highlight for me - highly recommend), followed by fish and chips dinner, followed by an even drive out to the coast just to check out the ocean and have some lobster type soup. Epic single day and The Greenhouse was an amazing kick off point (oh and they were very accommodating on an early-ish check in - the front desk lady even ran up to check to see if it was ready as she thought the computer system wasn’t updated). 5/5 on all accounts!

I honestly would have given excellent on the hotel but didn't for only 2 reasons. 1. I tried to change my reservation by one day less than 24 hrs after booking and they wouldn't allow. I know it is a no cancellation reservation, but even so, most places allow a change withing a few hours. 2. We noticed a smell in the bathroom from the moment we arrived. It wasn't HORRIBLE but we all noticed it. Beds were comfy, staff were kind, breakfast was good, several dining options in hotel, and don't be like us and miss out on the ice cream shop inside hotel.
