Having travelled around India on business staying at Marriott priced clean, modern hotels for between £50 and £70 a night I decided to lavish myself with a mountain top luxury resort as I was in Ooty after traveling upon the train At £170 a night I was hoping for something really rather splendid and was poorly disappointed. My room's AC was broken, the carpets were stained and damaged, I had very limited options for English channels. Communal areas seemed a little unkept and tired. Service was sporadic and unpredictable. The bar area seemed to be run on a budget.... Giant old fridge in plain view of customers half full of beer. All a bit of a 'cafe on the beach' feel. The restaurant was nice with fantastic views and the service was good. At best though the food was so so . Had this hotel been £80 I would have given it 4 stars but left feeling ripped off Not what I was expecting

A great escape with great service. A bit out of town away from the noisy traffic, set in gorgeous surroundings. The room was very large and clean and beds were comfortable. Felt like 5 star. The bar and food options were good. Altogether a great stay where our every need was met.

Staff was hospitable but dining was not upto the mark. Food is extremely overpriced and is very average in taste. However, location of the property is very convinient.

Lovely hill top hotel with a good view of Ooty. Good food and pleasant service. Close to Botanical gardens and the lake. Can get a glimpse of sunset. Walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Needs some updating. The water pump is noisy and could hear it in the rooms.

Pleasant stay, service was good, able to check in early, room service food wasn’t the best so we ordered takeaway.

The hotel has beautifully landscaped gardens, lovely rooms with a scenic view over hills and a very good breakfast. All of the staff were extremely helpful and attentive from the personalized check in experience to the bar staff and breakfast staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. My one small negative comment would be the cleanliness of the room. The duvet cover and pillowcases had marks and stains on them and the louvred wardrobe doors had thick dust on them. This aside we had a lovely stay.

This is an older property which has been somewhat refurbished. The free breakfast was good. The Wi-Fi is very unreliable. Overall, service was good. I will probably stay here again.

It was a pleasant homely experience for my family

What I loved about this hotel is it's location and service. It's located at a high altitude region with amazing views of the town below. Service was excellent. Hotel staff was friendly and answered your calls promptly. The food was pretty decent though dinner could be better with more variety. Gardens are well maintained and beautiful. The bar is quite expensive. Also, there were very few options to chose from. But the ambience and service was pretty good. But there were a few niggles as well. When I checked in there were no towels in the room. There were no tooth brush kits provided either. Had to call the house keeping for these items. Also, there was no wifi. Nevertheless the overall experience was just fantastic!.

Poor housekeeping and maintenance. Electrical fittings were unsafe, unclean beds and coffee maker, muddy water in bathroom. Maintenance and housekeeping required repeated reminders for service........................

Everything was perfect such as the location of the hotel, the infrastructure and the great breakfast. All at a very affordable price. There were a few things which could have been taken care by the staff such as our request for an additional room heater as the one present inside the room was insufficient. 24/7 bar needs to be open, my friend was completely disappointed when we got to know that the bar was closed after 11:00PM and it was very cold and in need of liquid to heat up. Apart from these, everything else was perfect and would love to visit again.

Excellent ambience, neat rooms,friendly staff,very wide buffet breakfast spread to cater to all taste,good Chinese and multicuisine restaurant -You need to have your own vehicle. Good parking facilities

Amazing private space. The bar is costly but the ambience is too good to ignore. The staff is friendly and prompt. I would certainly visit again.
