Good

Friendly staff and excellent service. The staff was very supportive. They brought our luggage. They provided us enough information about food service. The breakfast has several options. The best part was food. I wish if they had provided enough toiletries in the washroom like extra toilet roll, bath salt or bubble bath, hand wash, face wash, a covered trash bin and manual to operate TV in washroom as well as lights in the room.

The service provided by the staff at reception and dining were not as expected for a 5 star property

It’s a fabulous property with excellent F&B service. The check in and check out is usually a problem at this property. Wait time, turn around time, correct invoicing and (cashier + front desk) coordination is a challenge.

Tout etait presque parfait. Sauf la facturation, j'ai trouvé des charges de plus et des nuits que j'avais déjà payé et dont ils voulaient que je paye une 2eme fois. pas acceptable a mon avis pour ce type de établissement.

Our stay overall was fabulous. The hotel is very grand and very clean. The staff were amazing and very personable. They engaged with our kids. The food was amazing and the staff at food time were very nice, coming to ask if we needed anything and also the head chef came round too. Overall a great experience and highly recommended. Fantastic location as very close to airport too. Pool was great too.

Great location: The hotel is walking distance from Terminal 1 and metro train station. Good food: wide spread in the restaurant both for breakfast and lunch/ dinner

Overall, the Taj Santacruz is an excellent hotel to stay in the Vile Parle, Mumbai area. Its proximity to the T1 airport terminal makes this hotel the # 1 choice for me and perhaps others. The one issue we did face is with microwave oven hygiene as we were travelling with a toddler and we had requested for a microwave oven in our room. However, once this issue was reported, the management staff at the Taj went above and beyond to help us, correct the issue and make our stay as comfortable as it could be. Great place for families and if travelling with young kids, amazing food and the runway view rooms are a stress buster!

Awesome time, my kids loved it!

Major problems with reservation extension in this hotel. I wanted to extend the room by one night (from July 4 to July 5). Should have been easy! No! I spoke with reception and the person confirmed my room was extended till July 5. Next morning (july 3)I went down to lobby and forgot my room key. Went to reception, they said they could not find my room extension for July 5. Then confirmed they found it and gave me my key. This morning (July 4) I got a call from reception enquiring about my checkout time! I told them my room was extended till tomorrow, July 5. They, again, could not find the extension on my reservation and said they will call back. No call! I went down to reception this afternoon after discovering my room key wasn't working. Reception told me my reservation was terminated as I was to check out today, July 4! No reservation extension was made in the system! Then she dug in further and found that my reservation as actually made from July 5-6! So she made a new booking in the system for me! 4th time the charm, I hope! Incredible ineptitude on display by the reservation team! Will not stay here again!

Following a botch by our airline in getting us to Mumbai on time, the hotel was uncompromising on accommodating changes to our itinerary. Previously, it took several reminders to contact the hotel (including a call when I was placed on hold for 25 minutes and abandoned) to line up concierge needs.
