I’m quite sure this is the nicest hotel in central Panaji. You never really know until you are actually there. But I find it hard to imagine that anybody would be unsatisfied with a stay at the Crown Goa. The location is perfect, everything is close enough to walk. It sits like a crown, perched a top a hill, overlooking the Mandovi River An easy elevator ride gets you up to the hotel terrace. A river view room is well worth the extra money. I had a spectacular view out over the bougainvillea lined terrace to the river below. Each night, lit up party boats would run up and down the river. All of the staff were exceedingly polite and friendly. You will be greeted at least five or six times as you enter or leave the hotel, by wait staff, security, and maintenance crews. The hotel is beautiful in form and impeccably clean. There is an outstanding restaurant that offers a huge breakfast spread with many Indian hot dishes and breakfast items. The dinner menu is so varied, the food so good, and the poolside terrace such a beautiful place to dine, that I chose to eat there all three nights in Goa, despite the large number of restaurants nearby. I can scarcely believe I chose such a phenomenal hotel without having actually seen it. It is the only place I will stay when visiting Panaji.

Excellent 4 days vacation experience in Panaji at the Crown Hotel. Maintenance and service was excellent. All staff members were always helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was also excellent. Surprisingly, Goa (Panaji at least) was unseasonably hot (it was 35 degrees in the middle of January) this year, even though other cities in India we visited during the same trip were a lot cooler and comfortable. But that made returning to the hotel even more of a sanctuary.
