A wonderful stay in the jungle, away from the Ubud craziness. Beautiful quiet hospitality

This is a PERFECT resort. It has beautiful facilities (villas, swimming, gazebos, restaurant), delicious food (Indonesian, Japanese, and Western), and perfect service. It is in a beautiful location just outside Ubud. It is a quiet, relaxing, and elegant resort.

Outstanding place. Perfection in a beautiful environment. As an improvement as the resort is a bit far from Ubid would be to make the dining experience more diverse, like babi guling, or other festive dishes to discover bali and Indonesian delicacies. Also, having yoga lessons would be great instead of just the nice breathing exercises.

This is a fantastic property situated in Ubud, the staff are so friendly and everybody puts service first for myself and all of the other guests. I would highly recommend this spot to other travelers who are not Japanese because it is an introduction to a different sort of lifestyle and this variation of the Japanese hospitality shown is exceptional. For Japanese travelers who wanted to maintain their customs/ways look no further. They do this extremely well. (The toilets are amazing!!!) :-)

Great attentive staff. Only thing for a Japanese hotel- green tea in the room would be nice !

Stunning!!! Precisely what we had wished while visiting Bali. Tucked away in the jungle from the hustle & bustle from Ubud. Property & accommodations are stunning! Service & staff impeccable. Vigilante, responsive & unobtrusive. Would recommend & hope to stay again soon!!

If you are in UBUD this is the place to stay. Pricy!! But it was an amazing stay !!

Exceptional hotel in every possible way. I loved Dewi the massage specialist who was amazing. Ended up getting 3 massages in 3 days while I was there. This hotel is top tier & stunning in every way. Thank you for a beautiful experience ❤️

One of the best hotel's we have been too! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gorgeous property surrounded by nature and relaxing, zen-like landscape. Villas are excellent as well and staff are very helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

No gym, sauna, no room tv

A modern hotel situated inside the jungles of North Ubud. The room gives direct access to the large canal swimming pool. The picnic breakfast at Cafe Gazebo is very scenic, and the contemporary Balinese set dinner in the restaurant is the best meal I had in Bali! Love the body relaxation spa where you can relax and take flower bath with the jungle view. The level of service is excellent. The staff here are friendly and pay attention to details. They found out it was my birthday a few days ago, and have sent me fruit plates and wine for celebration. Highly recommend to stay in Hoshinoya Bali if you are looking for a place which gives you a sense of inner peace.

Beautiful Japanese inspired architecture. The entire resort has a beautiful jasmin scent. Dali style stair cases added to the uniqueness of the architecture. Villa is spacious with lots of lounge couches. Plenty of space in living vs sleeping quarters. Food is ‘Japanese’s refined intepretation of Indonesian cuisine’. High quality ingredients, very well cooked. But if you are looking for the rich flavors of Indonesian spices, you won’t find it here. Staff is polite and friendly. As it is ‘Japanese inspired’, not super kids-friendly. The hotel have many overly strict rule to ‘maintain the desired ambiance, and in some case, traded off common sense/ convenience. Absolutely no outsiders are allowed, even if those ‘outsiders’ are recommended by hotel staff. Would highly recommend to honeymooners or just people who appreciate minimalism achitecture. The hotel staff seems genuinely tried to achieve customer service within their regulations, but in my view, the rules could be relaxed based on good common sense of the staff.

Beautiful hotel wirh beautiful layout and surroundings. Can tell that the architect put a lot of thought into the entire layout. Staff is very friendly. Food is below expectation. The nasi goreng and mee goreng we ordered tasted so bad, nothing authentic tasting at all. Breakfast was just fine, we were glad we went out for BF other days and ate out after trying the restaurants. I would assume hotel serving good quality food afterall the whole idea of such a resort is to encourage people to stay in and relax. For this level of service and environment, could easily find in bali. Hence i would say its not worth the price.

Breathtaking jungle views with rooms inspired by the concept of minimalism, each with its own private access to a shared pool. The cleanliness of the facility is exceptional and staff are very welcoming and accommodating.

One of the best villa around Ubud, good privacy and superb service from the hotel staff It is our anniversay and the staff prepared a wishing card along with drinks for us when we arrived our room, so sweet. Meanwhile when we dining in the restaurant, the staff served us well, food is superb and good quality too. Definitely is a must stay in Bali, you will have no regret and feel blessed for the accomodation.

My husband and I stayed at Hoshinoya for our honeymoon. We cannot say enough about this hotel. It went beyond our expectations. The staff was the most incredible staff we have ever come across. They were absolutely wonderful, we have ZERO complaints about the staff. It rained on our last day there, and my husband and I got caught in the rain walking to one of the gazebos, and out of no where, a staff member appeared with umbrellas for us so we wouldn't get wet.They wouldn't let us lift a finger during our stay. The villas are absolutely stunning. Everything is very modern yet cozy. The pool is amazing, though it was a bit chilly at first, but once you jump in, it's very refreshing. The villas provide the perfect amount of privacy. The views from the gazebos are to die for. Probably out favorite amenity of the hotel. This is by far the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. The only drawback about the hotel is that is pretty remote, about 25 min from Ubud. And the food is pretty pricey at the hotel with not a lot of variety. The food itself is good, but the portions are small and if you have to eat 3 meals a day for a longer stay, it does get very expensive. We ended up having to eat most of our meal in Ubud.

Beautiful and serene. Staffs are very courteous, friendly and helpful. Air is fresh and mosquitos were kept away from villas. We had an excellant time staying there.
