LA JOYA BALANGAN RESORT

We had the delux room for 3 nights. The room looks different from the internet photos we doubted that was the delux room. It’s near the road side,very noisy I can hear dog barking,motorcycling, people outside talking and their working noise(the hammer hitting ). I had very bad sleep during the stay even I am tired after sight seeing for whole day. The most unacceptable is the rain permeate in from the ceiling and drop into bed......me and my girlfriend have to squeeze into other side of bed. We did try the restaurant and the quality is soso if you are looking sth to eat I would suggest dining the dinner before go back to resort. The only thing I enjoy is the mixed juices....cold n fresh.

La villa etait incroyable, plusieurs lits et salle de bain, piscines privée bien entretenue, bon restaurants sur place. Place de 2 min a pieds superbes.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, vielleicht etwas zu ruhig gelegen (gute Restaurants etc. nicht fußläufig erreichbar), dafür aber traumhafter Ausblick und direkt am Strand…….

Dejligt stille Hotel med fantastisk service og en meget hyggelig have hvor der er bygget en række bungalows. Alle bungalows har en privat lille have og terrasse og er skilt af med en tætte palme hegn, så de opleves meget privat. Dejlig terrasse med lille pool og udsigt over havet og solnedgang. Vi var her med en familie på 5 og var særdeles glade for den meget rolige og afslappede atmosfære. Maden var rigtig fint, dog ikke gourmet mad. Der var direkte adgang til en fantastisk strand fra hotel, blot 100m nede af trappen.

We loved our stay at La Joya. Located in a quiet area, so don’t expect lots of restaurants in the area. Nice pool area, located right next to the restaurant. The restaurant served fantastic breakfast, cocktails and foods. All staff extremely helpful and service minded. The bungalows feels very private, with your own gardens where you can chill in the evenings. Only downside is bad sound isolation (motorbikes and animals, i.e barking dogs etc.), which is quite annoying during the night. For the price paid - we couldn’t ask for more!

This was our most expensive stay in our 1 month trip in Bali, and unfortunately the most disappointing! Both myself and my parents who were staying in a different room had poor experiences with our stay. To start, the wrong address is listed on Expedia. It brought us to their other location, and when i told the front desk she did not seem to care. The rooms need major maintenance. The shower waterfall does not work in both of the rooms so you have to use the handheld shower head. The sliding doors to the bungalows need grease on them as they are extremely hard to open. The water situation is not fair at all. They provide you with 1 bottle of water per room and if you use it all between brushing teeth, drinking water and the kettle, then they charge you. The wifi kept turning off and on every 5 minutes and rarely worked properly. The good and overpriced.I cant have dairy so I requested almond milk as I had previously, but they said their supplier ran out and they had no other dairy free options available. They were also out of all dairy free plant based ice creams that are on their menu. The neighbourhood is noisy, dogs and roosters screamed all night so I could not sleep. My parents AC unit stopped working in the middle of the night so they had to move rooms at 1230am by the security guard as there was no other staff on site. So he had a terrible sleep as well. The lock on the door is pointless and people can still get in with the bungee cord wrapped around multiple times.

This place was amazing, the beach is only a 2 minute walk down a path from the resort. Staff were amazing and always happy to help and the sunset yoga was a bonus. Pool area was so nice and room was frequently cleaned and perfect size for 3 people

Beautifully situated high on a cliff over the sea. Property is setup like a little village with each bungalow set in its own private setting. Close access to beach (stairs down the cliff) with bars and caffes Gorgeous pools and gardens. Feels like a private paradise. Helpful kind staff.

Location (access to Balangan Beach), value for money, and the design of the place were the main reasons my husband and I chose La Joya, and it delivered on those. The main issue is noise. There are feral dogs at the neighbor property that bark ALL night long. We told the front desk and they gave us ear plugs (no other available rooms) and said we could switch in the morning, which we did (from noisy room 10 to room 1, next to the front desk). Less dog noise there. There are also roosters (which you hear almost everywhere in Bali anyway), and doves trying to roost in the thatched roofs. Balangan Beach has a chill, surfer/Bohemian vibe. The beach access was fine, but the access stairs are not maintained by La Joya - they're steep and uneven. There's a field where cows graze between the resort and the bluff - you gotta dodge cowpats to get to the stairs. It didn't bother us, just not like the photos, you know? The front desk was super helpful--even acting as an ATM when we needed cash for a taxi. The spa was lovely and I got a great massage. Breakfast was good & large - you get a choice of 4 entrees included, or you can order extra. We ate other meals there too, and I thought the prices were reasonable for the area. Nice pool area. The place needs a deep clean. Bedding/towels - clean. Day bed/mosquito nets - not so much. Overall maintenance is lacking - many things need to be fixed/painted/replaced, like rotted decks. Lovely grounds and helpful staff though!

Really beautiful and luxurious hotel to stay in. Path down the cliff straight to the beach otherwise most attractions are a 30-60 min taxi journey away Highly recommend the Yoga classes

Perfect to relax. Good location right next to the beach. Resort was beautiful with a comfortable room. Highly recommend, definitely will be back.

Such a beautiful property, well maintained, great and relaxing energy, the staff was great, the food was great, and there were so many places and things to do at short distance drives or even walks

Otelin otantik havası çok başarılı biraz şehir merkezine uzak ama Bali de bir balayı tatili için uygun. Fiyat performans bakımından tercih edilebilir.

Bungalow 4 was 2/10, shower, pillows and coffee were great. Doors not closing, hinges falling off and deck boards rotted and unsafe. Complained and moved to no.7 in better condition. Beach is down cliff and too rocky for swimming, just surfing. Long drive to shops or kuta for markets. However, restaurant and pools lovely. Grounds were kept beautiful. Massage great. Bit overpriced for what it was.

Séjour fabuleux, chambre merveilleuse, deux piscine, l une au calme l autre au restaurant. Accès à la plage via un petit champ et un escalier. Le personnel est au petit soin pour vous, notamment pour prévoir des activités. Ce dernier a cependant une tendance à papoter à coter de votre hute
