Villa Mathis

Unfortunately the drainage was overflowing, so everything was a bit flooded and muddy.

Cadre magnifique néanmoins l'intérieur des chambres/ villas nécessite un rafraîchissement, un complément de fonctionnalité (prises, papier crayon, porte valise, téléphone en chambre si urgence ...). Aussi, le complexe est décentré de Seminyak donc prévoir un transport local (scooter, voiture par Grab ou Gojek = moins cher que taxis locaux) pour le retour ou excursions. Dans tous les cas, le staff est à votre écoute donc il suffit de demander y compris pour les remarques ci-dessus + navette gratuite par l'hôtel pour l'aller uniquement au centre de Seminyak. Pas grand-chose autour des villas (1 resto italien = bien). Propreté. Pas essayé les massages.

Fantastic boutique hotel that’s stunning, both in terms of the grounds and comfort of the room. Staff were always very friendly and happy to help, nothing was a problem. Baring in mind the hotel is located near some ricefields and has forrest grounds, there is a number of bugs around but I think that’s to be completely expected. Staff cultivate and clean the grounds daily and are quick to make up the rooms and spray insecticide to scare off those mosquitoes at night. The spa service was also excellent. Ample choice for breakfast, which always came beautifully presented. I was only in Bali two days so can’t comment too much on the local area as explored a little further afield, however it seemed pleasant enough. The hotel is located in a quieter area away from the main hustle and bustle.

Établissement fantastique, à recommander, gérant français qui se plie en quatre pour vous rendre service, pas de piscine privée à la chambre mais une piscine pour de trois chambres la plupart du temps on est seul au monde ! Petit bémol le spa n’est pas à la hauteur de l’établissement , Mais vous pouvez en trouver dans la rue de très performant. Emplacement au calme et dans la verdure

Établissement surprenant...nous avons été surpris car il s agit en fait plutôt d un principe de chambres d hôtes ce qui ne correspondait pas à nos attentes. Lieu éloigné de toutes commodités.

RAS Tout était parfait : de l'accueil (par la propriétaire) au restaurant, rien à dire !

Very nice place, superbly decorated and with great staff. It's a few minutes away from the restaurants and bars but they provide a shuttle(although it's not very clear when is the shuttle free and how much does it cost because drivers' price list is not always the same with what hotel informed). Manager takes the time to talk to every guest.

We only stayed one night as we were traveling around Bali but we will come back for sure for longer! Villa Mathis is very comfortable, extremely well decorated, the staff is adorable, delicate and helpful, delivering a very high standard service, the food is fresh, tasty, varied and well presented, in a nutshell it is unique and perfect. One of the things we valued a lot during our stay was the kind and precise advice of the staff. They really helped us a lot when it came to organizing our short stay in seminyak by giving us excellent addresses and booking everything for us... The perfect holiday! We HIGHLY recommend it and will be back as soon as possible.

Wir verbrachten eine traumhafte Woche im Hotel Alila Ubud, bevor wir ins Villa Mathis kamen. Da wir im Alila von A-Z verwöhnt wurden und uns praktisch jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen wurde, waren wir auf einen anderen Service eingestellt und etwas enttäuscht über so Einiges im Villa Mathis, wie etwa die Begriffsstutzigkeit des Personals, das nicht immer saubere Geschirr, dass man mitten am Nachmittag vom Pool verscheucht wurde, damit Reinigungen vorgenommen werden konnten, oder dass man uns einfach mitten in der Woche in ein anderes Zimmer verlegt hat. Schlussendlich muss man aber sagen, dass man nicht alle Welt für diesen Preis verlangen kann und die Anlage sehr herzig ist. Wissenswert ist, dass das Hotel gerne von Franzosen besucht wird, da die Inhaber und das Management französisch sind. Das Hotel bietet einen gratis Shuttle, auf Abruf, ins Zentrum von Seminyak an.

Spacious villas with various relaxing areas in beautiful and secluded garden. Four swimming pools. Pampering service; breakfast where- and whenever you want. Quality of food ok, but not great. But will be compensated by setting in the garden. Alternatively, one could go to Seminyak (15m drive). Surrouning area of hotel is not so beautiful, but why bother leaving your hotel?
