Superb location. Easy walk from the ferry and into the main eating/shopping/historical centres. Very good, helpful staff. They let us leave our bags there on the day we checked out, as we had a very late flight in the evening. Fun decor and a spacious room. Lots of great places to eat very close.
Two small niggles, the shower leaked over the floor, didn't seem so bad on the first day but got worse. Not really a problem for us but a mess for the staff. They provide a kettle and tea and coffee sachets (which many places don't), but only 2 tea and 2 coffee sachets and only replenished them when we asked. As it's only staffed for a few hours in the morning, we often didn't see anyone to ask.
Would stay there again.

Property was hard to find. Entry was very “scary”. Large double old wood doors with a small cut out that was difficult to get in and out of. Once inside the “lobby” was very unsettling. Like the building was deserted. Property needs a much better job of identifying its location AND, updating the entry. Hotel is on the second level…. Nothing is on the
ground floor, very strange. Once inside the hotel, it was clean and attractive. At night, bar across the street was non-stop. Hotel supplies ear plugs in the room and, after the first night, we knew why. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

Posizione comoda per visitare il centro della città (la cattedrale si trova circa a un kilometro e mezzo a piedi). Le stanze sono piccoline ma graziose in quanto (come il resto dell'Hotel) sono tutte decorate da artisti con un tema diverso in ogni stanza. Unica pecca la rumorosità della stanza (sia rumori da fuori che dalla caldaia dentro la stanza) per cui però vengono forniti dei tappi. Colazione buona servita al tavolo con prodotti freschi.

We really enjoyed our stay at Afea. Location was great and there was lots of free on street parking nearby. We had to drive around for a bit to find a space but managed to find one eventually. The instructions to checkin were great and really easy. Communication beforehand was really good, always answered any questions. Staff were really lovely and breakfast was good too. Would definitely recommend. Great location too!

Afea art & room was great. Our room had so much space which was great. Friendly staff and lovely Sicilian breakfast and there was so much of it too. We hired a car during our stay which was great for seeing more of the island but finding parking was challenging. Also good to be aware that it can be quite noisy at night with people dining outside but we got used to it. I recommend staying here for sure!!

Loved the room decor. It was a very good location for us close to the port to catch a ferry. Quiet area with plenty of dining options nearby. Breakfast was really nice. Was given a key to use for the luggage storage and bathroom available after we had checked out was very useful. Had some communication issues largely due to Hotel.com messaging system otherwise would have been top marks.

Simply an amazing hotel. It was so inspiring to be sleeping in a great hotel that was covered in art. My kids really enjoyed it too. Claudio was a fantastic host, and the breakfast was amazing. Would come back in a heartbeat.

The staff is super communicative, friendly and informative. The hotel and room are clean and nicely decorated, the air conditioning is modern, the bathroom is large. The check in was easy and smooth. The property is in walking distance to all major sites.
The building is a bit older and there is a bit of an odour in the bathroom and from the ac, its not entirely unpleasant but it is noticeable, if you are sensitive to smells it may be an issue.

This place was very nice. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was excellent. We were in the Flamingo room so unfortunately the reception is right outside the door and you can hear all the talking in the morning. Also there was a sewage smell in the bathroom every time we flushed the toilet.
