Here's a polished and thoughtful version of your hotel review: --- A Wonderful Stay with Just One Small Drawback I had a lovely experience staying at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The receptionists were friendly and professional, and the valet team went above and beyond—especially when they helped us refuel our electric car. There were no EV charging stations nearby, so they made a special effort to ensure our car was fully charged and ready for us. That level of service truly stood out. The food at the hotel was another highlight. Every meal we had was delicious, with amazing flavors and top-notch service throughout our stay. The only drawback, and the reason I’m giving four point five stars instead of five, was the size of the room. It was quite small, and while I understand this is due to the building’s age and historic charm, it did feel a bit cramped. That said, everything else was excellent, and I would definitely return. Next time, I’ll make sure to request a larger room to make the experience even better!

If you like Air Conditioner in your room to work don't stay at the Anantara Convento di Amalfi Hotel. Expedia specified the hotel had AC as well as the Hotel website. I asked why the AC was not working and they said the AC was seasonal but when we were there in April it was not cold it was hot at night. They bought us a Dyson FAN for the 4 nights!!!! When I asked is they can give us a refund they did not want to give us any refund for the room not having any AC. This is a 5 star hotel for this to happen is unacceptable!!!!! Never again are we staying there.

Excellent hotel with breathtaking views. Room and bed were very comfortable. Hotel is in excellent condition as well as the rooms. There was a minibar in the room that was well stocked and also a coffee maker. Hotel had a really nice breakfast with large choice of foods for every one. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with from checkin to check out. There is a car service that takes you to the town of Amalfi every hour. The staff was very accommodating and drove us down to the ferry when we had to leave. One of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in. Beautiful hotel grounds, lots of lemon trees, swimming pool, outdoor gym. A fantastic hotel that I would visit again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was in a stunning location and smelt wonderful when you walked in. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was very good. This was a special occasion for us and we booked 4 nights in one of their higher rate rooms. Having paid a lot of money we were expecting a room at least as good as the one pictured, but the room we were assigned was disappointing. The terrace area was large, bare and not private, and the room was cold with a thin duvet, and the jacuzzi was also cold. We arrived late in the evening and it felt a little like we had been given the only room left which was not really up and running, despite the nicely decorated bed and complimentary wine. The staff did all they could to appease us, and upgraded us for two of the nights to a room which felt more appropriate in terms of value to the tariff we had paid. That said, it was not an ideal situation to have to iron these issues out or to move midway and this holiday was significant for us. For the money, we just expected everything to be perfect and it certainly fell short. I would suggest ensuring you know exactly what room you are being allocated, as the photos online are "just representative" and actually, whilst Amalfi is expensive, I feel on balance this was not the best value hotel. We are seasoned travellers and have stayed in some wonderful hotels so I feel this is a fair comment.

3 star property with 5 star pricing. Housekeeping is very bad - didn’t replenish toilet paper when the room was cleaned unless reminded about it. Breakfast was included and the food exceptional but, again, the service fell short. EU 16.50 for a pedestrian local beer is just plain arrogant.

We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had the best time here. The entire hotel staff from guest services to the breakfast staff were amazing. We felt we were staying with our family here. The hotel management welcomed us with a bottle of Proseco wine, an upgrade of our room, bouquet of roses, cards, laminated pictures and famous lemon candies. This was a very warm welcome and beyond our imagination. The location of the property is absolutely breathtaking and you don’t need to go too many places if you want to enjoy the local culture and cuisine. We would like to say personal thanks to the wonderful breakfast staff for giving us a nice welcome with delicious entrees and freshly squeezed juices. Special thanks to Eugenio, Giovanna, Giuseppe, Carmela, Christian, Roman, Angelo and Diego. The Guest services team aimed to please as well. Many thanks to Flavia, Francesca, Francesca(Marketing), Flora, Daniella, Ludowicka, Mirko and Estella for their warm hospitality. There are other team members that we don’t remember their names but provided us excellent service too. We surely will be back again to celebrate other occasions as we have created a special bond and friendship with the Ananatara family. The fact that this was a former monastery and our room was across the Chapel enriched us spiritually as well.

This place is an absolute gem, it's an old 13th century monastery converted into a beautiful 5 star hotel. The staff are super helpful, friendly and professional. You can't go wrong if you can afford the cost!

Anantara was amazing! We stayed for 5 days and were upgraded with VIP membership. Marzia at the front desk was awesome and Kristian in breakfast times was amazing! My wife and I loved our time here! Highly recommend to anyone!
