Truly fantastic boutique hotel! Such an amazing find! Highly recommended.
Parking is free and easy to find. The hotel picks you up and takes you into the city.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. On the day of our departure we needed to leave very early and they had a full breakfast ready for us and gave us a ride back to our car with no problem at all.
The location at the edge of the cliff is absolutely stunning and the views are unparalleled.
The rooms themselves are unique and very well appointed. The bathroom in our room needs to be repainted and the loft where the kids slept got very hot. But other than that we can't find a single fault with this lovely spot in a beautiful city!

Hotel first: Basiiani Hotel is a marvel in a town once called the 'Shame of Italy'. It is a hotel that is comprised of several rooms carved into caves that used to be people's homes. It is awesome. The decor, beds, bathroom and amenities all top notch. The staff friendly and the buffet breakfast was great. Highly recommended. Now the town of Matera.... you must go. Truly out of this world and worth every adjective of beauty.

Excellent séjour à Matera essentiellement dans la ville ancienne magnifique avec un charme fou, on a visité toutes les églises très riches d’histoire et de fresques restaurées. Matera vaut vraiment le coup d’être visitée . L’hôtel Basiliani est très bien situé et l’accueil est agréable, le petit déjeuner super bon et varié à prendre sur une terrasse face à un décor de rêve
