Nothing much going on other than the spa. It’s relaxing but not necessarily the best.

The staff goes above and beyond in all aspects. You feel welcome no matter what you are doing throughout the property. The Spa services, pools and staff are exceptional ( and we have stayed at some of the finest places globally ). This is a hidden gem.

We really enjoyed our stay at Borgobrufa. The spa was incredible along with the breakfast, dinner and wine. It is a true oasis.

Extremely peaceful. Thistledene was a perfect hotel to relax away the previous few days at a wedding. Chilling by the pool and sleeping in the sunshine. Food simple but enjoyable

We spent 5 nights here in early October and were blessed by superb weather. The overall experience was peaceful and relaxing. The spa facilities are good and the indoor/outdoor pool is great at this time of the year. The spa staff were very welcoming. The fitness suite was adequate but is without aircon until the spa opens at 9am. The restaurant was good although the menu was not extensive but this was offset by excellent service from the restaurant staff who did everything possible to enhance the experience. The hotel reception area is small and when we checked in and out was understaffed (1 person) which delayed the process. A bit annoying.

If you want a beautiful experience in the Umbrian countryside, while still close to Perugia and Assisi, this is a good choice. It's about 15 minutes driving to both destinations. We enjoyed the stay, the rooms were very nice and spread out nicely across the property with beautiful countryside views. The spa was very nice, great mix of pools, saunas and steam rooms. All very clean. We found the spa treatments to be very expensive for what they feature, when booking a massage pay attention to the actual time of the massage as it can be much shorter than the time time of the overall "experience". The breakfast buffet was pretty good, could be better, but was overall good. We did not have any meals at the resort besides breakfast. Overall, a lovely stay. I would suggest the spa open earlier and close later, otherwise everything was great.

Beautiful location for a quiet getaway. The staff is very attentive but a number of points you need to know. The air conditioning in the rooms are very minimal so those that are expecting a cold environment there will be issues. They also do not have fans to circulate air in the rooms... A minor point but sleeping in a muggy room with still air is not my idea of pleasant. Remember that entering the spa and using thelarge heated swimming pool is an extra charge. There is an outdoor pool available that is great though! Be wary and check ahead as this resort is unfortunately a conference center. You get a lot of companies renting large blocks of rooms with many loud and noisy partying types at the expense of their companies... Read... Millinneals and x gen types that have not been taught manners and proper dressing etiquette . The food is excellent and the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Will return in the autumn when the heat has subsided and hopefully the maturity level of the guests.

its a nice hotel, pretty, and nice rooms. a bit far from perugia old town, 30 min taxi ride. my main gripe was that even being a hotel guest, we were expected to pay 40E to use the spa! also the outside pool with jets was part of the spa so we couldnt use that. just the normal pool. this is a rip off if you are staying there. We went there because it was a spa hotel so might as well have stayed in a regular hotel as we refused to pay 80E between us to use their spa facilities. pool very cold.

We first stayed in 2010 and found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly - so it was nice to see them again in 2012 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary . We love the area it is quite peaceful, The food is excellent although ( evening meal ) maybe on the large side, Michael @ reception was helpful and speaks good English i did manage a few words in Italian, Francesco also helped translate the menu his recomendations were excellent. The pool and Spa are good and always clean. We will go again

Set in a lovely village outside Perugia, within easy access. The grounds are wonderful, the scenery stunning, particularly in the evening. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. Facilities are top class but not over powering!

Wonderful well designed spacious hilltop country retreat complete with spa and magnificent views over Perugia, Asisi and the surrounding vinyards and olive groves. Car (ideally with GPS) is essential for access. We stayed in a quiet period just before Christmas in the snow and ice but the hotel and welcome was warm and friendly. Our room looked out over the twinkling lights of Perugia, 5km away. The room was tastefully decorated in a modern style that reflected the rustic history of this area. The breakfast buffet was truly a feast fit for a King. One of the best we have ever seen in many, many years of travelling. Even though the hotel was quiet due to the off season there seemed to enough food for 100 people! If you are touring by car around Italy, this is a wonderful stop in between Rome and Siena/Florence and is well worth the detour off the main roads.

Loved the location of this place, gorgeous views from every window of our room plus wonderful balcony with great views!!! Very convenient to explore hill towns of Umbria. The room was a little dated and could have been a little cleaner. We tried to schedule a massage in the spa, but they had no evening or morning time available even with 24 hour notice, which was disappointing. Breakfast room also had gorgeous views.

This is a fabulous hotel in a great location with views towards Perugia and Assisi. The rooms were first class and very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool was quiet and clean with great views and a strict rules about respectful behaviour. It exceeded our expectatioins and was very good value. Definitely a hotel we will return to one day and recommend to others.

Struttura bellissima,molto curata, immersa nel verde e personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Il ristorante lascia un po a desidera e nella colazione potrebbero migliorare la qualità della frutta.

Ottimo da consigliare

Breve soggiorno in questo luogo incantevole dove tutto è all'insegna del benessere. Molto gentile il personale, bella la SPA e veramente stupenda la camera con patio , giardino e vista panoramica mozzafiato. Buoni i servizi al bar, ottima la colazione, non all'altezza del resto il ristorante gourmet dove il personale è molto gentile e professionale ma ai piatti, preparati sì con ottimi ingredienti locali, sembra però mancare qualcosa.
