Wonderful stay. 5-stars across the board if you’re looking for disconnecting and relaxing in the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. Easy day/dinner trips to Florence or Siena (rental car).

Great overall

The hotel Como Castelo Del Nero is a beautiful property. However, for this resort to feel more comfortable and welcoming as resort it will require a few changes: The rooms are to bright. The lights system are designed for business only. There are not one single dimmer in the entire room or bathroom. Secondly important thing are the steps to access the bathroom. Definitely is not recommended for elderly people. Another thing, there are no place for a makeup station. The heritage room is too big and not cozy at all. The fireplace it was only a decorative piece of art. The hallway needs a rugs for a better acoustic sound. The walls are missing pictures with a nice landscape of Tuscany or either a little bit of historic moments about Italy. It perhaps about the Nero… anyway. I have been traveling to over 68 countries, and I have had great experiences around the world. So I can feel the difference between welcoming resorts or a more business experience:

Our room was awesome but the staff wasn’t very friendly. Transportation was extremely expensive to go just a mile away. We would not go back here.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It sits in a beautiful area surrounded by excellent wineries. Every detail of the hotel is perfect, from the rooms to the dining to the common areas, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I hope to come back soon.

Honeymoon stop that had breathtaking views, amazing staff members, incredible amenities, and conveniently located. We will be back one day!!
