Although there was no hot water (an issue they were working on), as we were only booked in for two nights we chose to stay even though they offered us to cancel with no penalty. Honestly it was so hot out that a cool shower was perfect anyway. The staff were so kind, friendly and helpful that I would recommend staying here to anyone. Secondary, the location is absolutely perfect. Close to everything you’d want to see.

Convenient location, clean and well kept and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Roof top patio views are incredible.

Comfortable clean room with original ceiling from 1611, unexpected complimenary prosecco, crossaints, coffee and juice machine despite not paying for breakfast. Good view at rooftop terrace, nice staff and perfect location.

Quarto de hotel bem confortável com lindo terraço e vista para o Duomo. Excelente custo benefício pela localização, estrutura e atendimento. Com certeza indicaria para amigos e familiares quando forem a Florença.

The staff are fantastic and were always a pleasure to interact with. The location is right in the historic district so most historic landmarks and shopping are easily within a 15-20 minute walk. It’s also similar distance to the train station. There are quite a bit of stairs and no elevator, but you are staying in a historic building, so we understood this. The rooms are somewhat dated and the colour scheme could use an update, but again, it’s a historic building and we weren’t there to see the colour scheme of the hotel room. The 360 degree, unobstructed view from the rooftop terrace, was phenomenal. It was the best place to have a nightcap at end our day!

It is exactly as described. It’s on the third floor, even when very close to the Duomo. It is very quiet. The staff’s service is excellent. The beds were very good. A nice stay.

Great location and the owner helped with our bags, which was awesome since it is 66 steps up, with no lift. Absolutely beautiful rooftop which is where we had happy hour every evening. Lovely bells from the nearby church and gorgeous views.

WiFi connectivity was horrible. There should be an upgradable option for WiFi. Traveling with students who has to get online for school and it was very problematic.

The hotel was very disappointing, it was on the third floor of the building with no lift access. The entrance was dimly lit and the staircase narrow and gloomy.. There are no staff present over night from 2200-0800. This meant checking out with no receptionist. The room was small, furniture dated and my room was immediately next to the reception and main entrance 3 metres away. As a consequence, extremely noisy with people coming back late and the hotels answer was to provide earplugs! The air conditioning was temperamental. Extremely noisy bar and restaurant immediately below with lots of people sitting and drinking on the streets. I regret staying here, and would not recommend to others.

Primeiro desafio foi chegar ao “Hotel” com malas e ter mais de 60 degraus de escada (sem elevador), mas a recepção nos auxiliou e subiram a mala mais pesada. O quarto era muito ruim, a cama super desconfortável além de ser sujo. Dormimos duas noites e foi impossível descansar, fora a dor nas costas. Banheiro pequeno e com aparência de sujo. O ponto forte do Hotel foi o rooftop que era lindo e os profissionais que lá trabalham. A localização é ótima também, em frente ao melhor restaurante que já fomos (La Giostra). Não voltaria a este “Hotel” porque valorizo uma boa cama e um bom descanso e infelizmente não encontramos isso lá. Chamaria o local de B&B.

This isn’t a luxury hotel. It’s a comfortable, small hotel with extraordinarily kind staff who really want you to enjoy Florence. If you are looking for authenticity you will be surrounded by small bars, cafes and restaurants run by actual Florentines - and you will probably have a better time than if you stayed in someplace that cost twice as much. We loved every minute of it - and particularly the staff, who were wonderful.
