Its a bit expensive compare to other hotels in Lido, but I just love their beach! The free shuttle to Venice is very convenient and comfortable. I've booked a sea view room but the balcony is not really big, so better save that money to book a normal room instead. The breakfast was excellent and they even have 4 kinds of milk to choose from (but it cost extra 25 euro). A luxurious experience to spoil yourself!

Great stay and would definitely visit again. The property is beautiful, historic and well maintained. The food was great and the daily breakfast surpassed all expectations. High marks for the staff, dining options, the pool, rooms, common areas, arrival/departure by boat, Venice shuttle. The fitness center was good enough. If I went back I’d probably skip the beach. The sand is not great and can get messy. The showers just off the beach came in handy. The cabanas are ok, but the shaded seating options aren’t plentiful. These would be great for two people if you want some shade.

Wunderschönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und aufmerksamem Personal! Ich hatte ein Premium-Zimmer mit Blick auf die Lagune inklusive Frühstück. Komme gerne nochmal! Zimmer: Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, ruhig und komfortabel. Selbst bei offenem Fenster konnte man ungestört schlafen. Besonders schön war die gemütliche Atmosphäre im ZImmer und Hotel sowie der Fenster Ausblick auf die Lagune. Hotel: Der private Strand war ruhig und ideal zum Schwimmen. Auch der Poolbereich war gepflegt, sauber und entspannend. Frühstück: Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Es gab frisch gepresste Säfte, frisches Gebäck und man sass direkt am Strand. Lage: Mein einziger Nachteil war die Anbindung. Der Hotel-Shuttle-Service endet bereits um 21:00 Uhr, sodass man sich nach Restaurant- oder Konzertbesuchen selbst um die Rückfahrt kümmern muss. Zudem fährt das Hotelboot ausschließlich nach San Marco. Dadurch muss man bei jedem Ausflug durch die sehr überfüllten Touristenströme im Zentrum navigieren.

A historic beach and movie hotel. Newly refurbished, beautiful serene atmosphere. Restaurant food not quite worth the price. But still our favourite hotel in Venice.

The place was wonderful. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The place was incredible clean. and the food was delicious. The location was right on the beach and within walking distance of several local restaurants. Plus, the hotel's water taxi was very convenient. I'd recommend this place to anyone who plans to stay in Venice.

The Excelsior is an exceptional hotel in many ways - the property, the setting and the staff and just the general level of quality of everything. This was our second time there and it was lovely to be back. The only complaint I have is that the Wi-Fi service in the room was really bad this time but in all other respects, the place is magical.

Ett fantastiskt hotell på alla sätt! Vill man ha en lyxig "Gatsby semester" med anor från början av 1900 talet så är hotell Excelsior helt rätt! Svårt att se att det finns ett bättre sätt att kombinera möjligheten till en skönt strandliv med historiskt stadsbesök. Att dessutom få åka in till San Marco platsen med en av hotellets vackra båtar är fantastiskt trevligt!!!

Voglio iniziare con dire che la struttura da fuori ha il suo fascino storico e porta quasi indietro nel tempo. Capendo che è un hotel con quasi 200 camere e di un livello 5 stelle mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di meglio. Il personale di reception, sala e non per ultimo concierge ( specialmente Andrea) sono stati molto disponibili. Purtroppo il servizio di pulizia ha abbastanza problemi la camera non era pulita bene e l’ultimo giorno nonostante il segnale di “non disturbare” alle 8:45am un signore del servizio in camera attaccato al campanello chiedendomi se volessi qualcosa. Può succedere magari cercherei di migliorare la comunicazione tra il personale. Un altro dettaglio che venerdì dopo un lungo giro in barca avevamo il piacere di magiare al ristorante e purtroppo tutto era pieno, può succedere ma mi sarei aspettato una soluzione da parte del personale. Spero non prendiate questi commenti in nessun modo negativo, anzi come opportunità di migliorare ed arrivare al grande livello che questo Hotel deve essere.

Breakfast and rooms excellent general atmosphere and historic value unmatched, to say it is resort style is to limit the class and nostalgia every step offer you at a glance .

Great staff, clean room and main areas. Great location, historical building was the pull. Bathroom had sticky floor and plug point hard to manage for coffee machine and phone charger - shuttle taxi was excellent! Felt well looked after but n this high class hotel

Hotel is Excellent. Great access to Venice by Private Boat (Included in Price). Very good breakfast with great choice. Great base just 15 mins away from Venice. Note: Prices for Food & Drink very expensive.

We had a fantastic stay at the Excelsior. The property and staff are top-notch. Being on the Lido was a nice quiet contrast to our days on the main Venice island; and commuting via the hotel boat service was a pleasure.

We had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The rooms were excellent, the pool was fantastic, and the views are absolutely stunning. While the hotel is definitely showing its age in some areas, it remains a unique and memorable property. It was wonderful to escape the crowds and bustle of Venice and relax in this oasis on the Lido. The property itself is very large, which adds to the resort-like atmosphere. However, the gym was underwhelming and not particularly inviting. Food options on-site were also quite limited, especially in the evenings. The bar menu was expensive and underwhelming, and despite advertising 24/7 room service, there were no food options available when we scanned the QR code later at night, looking for something to eat. There is very little to do on the Lido itself, so you'll likely want to spend most of your time exploring Venice. Be sure to make dinner reservations early enough to catch the last hotel shuttle back at 9:00 PM. While taxis are available, they can cost around €100 each way. The staff experience was mixed. Some team members were excellent and welcoming, while others came across as rude and condescending. Overall, despite a few shortcomings, this was an incredible experience. The setting, pool, views, and opportunity to escape the crowds of Venice made for a memorable stay that we would still recommend. Not sure if I would stay here agiain.
