Our hosts at this hotel made this three day stay wonderful! You couldn't ask for better. Whatever the request, question or need - they attempted to fulfill. If you are looking for modern, don't bother. If you are looking for historical, this is it! You get a great night's sleep in a quiet part of the city, (even though it is within walking distance of everything) you are fed well in the morning, and greeted with a smile and genuine interest in your day when you return. If we have a chance to return to Italy, this will be one of our stops.

Emmanuela and Marco were excellent hosts, very friendly and sociable. Definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Stayed for 5 nights in May 2024 and had a wonderful time. The property owners are very kind and helpful. Rooms are basic but very comfortable and clean, the shower was terrific. Very easy to walk everywhere from here and at night it is very quiet. Always felt very safe and welcome at the Hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Giglio for a positive Florence experience.

A very friendly reception at the front desk

Friendly and helpful owners who explained exactly where and when to go see the sights. Only a 20min saunter into the centre of Florence with air conditioning and a yummy breakfast! Only thing to note is not suitable for those that struggle with stairs as on the second floor.

The infrastructure of the Giglio can have some improvement. There was no AC for the first day/night in our room, and it’s very hot in Florence in July. We were moved to a different room the second day. Marco and Manuela are extremely helpful and always willing to help their passengers.

Friendly staff, clean and good location

AAA Excellent property, the location was convenient to the tourist area without it being in the middle, an easy 2-3 block walk. The hotel staff were top notch, helpful, gracious and excited to share their city with us. The breakfast buffet was amazing with something for everyone.

Loved this hotel! Amazing owners are always there to greet you with a smile and are very helpful. Fantastic breakfast, spacious and clean rooms. Centrally located and can walk to the main train station and key sites. Highly recommend this place.

Located in a quiet area but walkable to the Duomo, shopping and restaurants. Very secure, wonderful hosts, nice breakfast, spacious rooms, clean, 2nd floor walk up but there is an elevator.

So friendly and helpful at this property, made you feel like you belonged. A bit of a distance, so need to like to walk

We love it all!!!! The owners, a married couple for 27 years made of our staying such a great time to remember and be thankful for; wife with her beautiful smile and presence willing to help out with such a personal touch. The husband’s invaluable time telling us what places to visit, highlighting a map to go to places…their presence there, made us feel like we were Home.

Staff was super knowledgeable on all the sights and gave us excellent advice that saved us time and made the trip perfect…thank you Marco you are the best! Breakfast was incredibly good. Location was central, easy to walk everywhere.
