Hotel was acceptable except the bath it was so small and water coming out when we take a shower

Nice place. Friendly staff. Even sold tickets for public transportation which was very helpful.

Hotel is old and AC doesn’t work. No AC makes it tough to sleep. Staff have fans which helped but not enough. Staff was great.

Overall good hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Personally, the only recommendation would be beds, not terrible but could use an upgrade. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean & comfortable room with housekeeping doing excellent work daily. The front desk staff was extremely kind & helpful, specifically Alessandro who truly went out of his way to share recommendations. He helped us with meal, local travel & sites to visits along with a daily “Italian word of the day” to help us in our adventures. He truly offered excellent customer service & was a true asset to the hotel stay. THANK YOU SO MUCH ALESSANDRO & rest of San Carlo staff for a wonderful week. We can’t wait to return.

Decent hotel. Quiet. A/C works great. Water preassure is strong. Only shampoo and liquid soap are available. Wish the rooms have tea maker. The breakfast mostly consist of pastures, which are fresh and delicious. Eggs, salami, cheese, butter, yogurt, hot tea and coffee are also served. Staff very friendly and helpful. Trolley and bus tickets are available to purchase at check-in counter.

It is a nice hotel.

This hotel is no frills. Staff was not overly friendly but not rude. The property is old but had what you need.

Very nice people at desk. Amenities are null but good enough for just sleeping. Bathroom super small but if you are not too picky, this hotel serves well. We did have to walk up 2 flights of stairs with our bags since the lift was not working when we were there. This is an older building.

For the price per night, we were disappointed that the A/C didn’t work in one of our rooms, we were on the third floor but the elevator was out of operation, and we couldn’t connect to the WiFi (this was a problem because we wanted to download movies for our long flight home the next day). The positives were that the staff was friendly, we were only 12 minutes drive from the Marco Polo airport, and it was a three minute walk to the team/bus which took us into the heart of Venice for shopping and touring. Purchasing the public transportation pass at the hotel was totally worth it. If the hotel can update a few things and keep up the friendly service, it would be worth staying…

Older hotel but very clean and friendly staff. Easy parking and even has an elevator.

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Rooms are a good size and very adequately furnished. It has an elevator which was good news. The hotel is in a fabulous position to get the tram straight over to Venice and a 15 minute or so walk to Mestre itself which is a lovely town to visit and eat out etc. Very easy to get around with buses and trams and vaporetto's which is very cheap with the Venice Unica pass https://www.veneziaunica.it/en/content/how-it-works costs €20 for day 1, then €10 per day thereafter. It is nice to stay out of the hussle and bussle and tourism trap of Venice where lots of friendly locals live and there is also a nice little friendly bar a couple of doors away! I would definitely return to this hotel for visiting Venice
