convenience with friendly reservation, good breakfast, easy to go everywhere in Roma

The area around the hotel seemed run down, but there are a lot of areas of Rome that seemed the same, so this seemed a running theme of Rome

El hotel esta muy bien, habitación amplia 4 personas, muy limpia, el desayuno esta excelente, con mucha variedad. El personal muy amable Cerca de parada de camiones a media cuadra, a 15 minutos del coliseo.

We stayed in San Giovanni Roma for 6 nights.Overall impression is good,but there are pisitive and negative impressions. The cleanliness is excellent- rooms are cleaned regularly and towels changed daily, no bad smells,dining hall is also always very clean.Also it is decorated in a modern style and looking very sleek,but homely comfortable.The atmosphere is calm and quiet,noise protection in the room is good.Breakfast is nutricious and fresh. The minuses- it is a bit far from the metro station - 15min walk.There is a bus stop nearby,but you have to wait quite long for a bus and often they are not on schedule. Also,there are no coffee or tee facilities in the rooms,which was a big disappointment. Bar exists downstairs.Breakfast lacks variety - you won't go hungry,but it is the same every day.TV has hundreds of channels, but all are in Italian.There is no laundry, but if you need - laundry services are provided at really high prices.The staff in the reception is OK,but could be a bit more welcoming and informative.There is no shuttle bus from the airport, as advertised on some sites.Also,don't forget about tourist tax at the end of your stay - which nobody reminds you of when you just get in the hotel.It came as a shocking surprise to pay 90euro at check out after we thought we paid everything while booking.

This hotel was amazing! The space in our room was wonderful! We were 5 people in the room and felt super comfortable. Breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from

They hit us with €49 at the checkout, saying it's a city tax..ivwas never aware of it..

I spent 2 nights at Hotel San Giovanni Roma and truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a peaceful neighborhood but still offers easy access to the center of Rome via public transportation. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. One of the highlights was the wonderful breakfast each morning—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. The staff were warm and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local advice. Colosseum and many historical places are not far from the hotel. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed our stay. Convenient access to all the attractions in Rome within walking distance.
