El hotel es precioso, las habitaciones cómodas e impecables, teníamos una vista hermosa hacia el mar, la atención del personal excelente, fueron muy amables y colaboradores en todo momento, en los restaurantes y el bar de playa del hotel se come riquísimo y se pueden tomar tragos muy buenos, el acceso y la ubicación inmejorable, está en una de las playas más hermosas del sur de Cerdeña, desde allí caminando por la playa puedes ir a otras dos que también son muy bonitas, la verdad pasamos días preciosos y los recomendamos 1000%!

We have just returned from a 14-night half-board holiday at the luxurious Hotel Simius Playa and had an absolutely lovely, relaxing holiday. The location is excellent, next to a beautiful private sandy beach. The hotel was very charismatic and is the epitome of my perception of old Sardinian charm. It is very impressive and kept impeccably clean at all times. Our suite was very nicely furnished with an excellent view of the sea from our balcony and was kept pristinely clean by housekeeping. The quality and variation of food in the restaurant for breakfast was excellent and the à la carte menu in the evening was exceptional. All of the hotel staff was excellent, very friendly, professional, helpful, cheerful and always with a smile on their faces. We’d like to add a special huge thank you to all of the restaurant staff, especially Antonino, Enrico, Aimane and Simone for making our dining experience “perfetto”. We met a number of guests, who have been returning to Hotel Simius Playa for over 20 years and can understand why. We will return.

Great room!

Jättefint rum med härlig utsikt från balkongen mysig lite trädgård med pool. Vänlig och serviceminded personal. Frukosten var utmärkt och intogs i trädgården. Enda minus är att det kostade mellan 20-40 euro att använda hotelllets solstolar på stranden, det hade kunnat bakats in i hotellets rumspriser.

We spent 4 days half board at the hotel Simius playa in mid September. We enjoyed our stay in particular the fabulous beach with turquoises water and great evening meals, with lots of choice. We had a superior double room with a sea view and small terrace which was a good size and very clean, water pressure in shower was great. The staff at the hotel were lovely, in particular the maitre d, Thomas and the tall waiter (apologies forgot his name) Cons It’s a quiet area with not much activity going on apart from shops and restaurants up in the town. We got a local bus from Cagliari arst bus station, right beside the train station to villasimius and this was fairly straightforward however the return journey was not as there was an unexpected bus strike, waiting 2 hours discover no bus for another 4 hours. Taxi was required. Cost of taxis is extortionate. Recommendation rent a car. The views along the coast road are spectacular.

The property and service was excellent but the beach service is very expensive

Rundum ein tolles Hotel. Einzig die Entfernung zum Städtchen gibt etwas Abzug, da ein Bus nur 1x pro Stunde fährt. Ansonsten wirklich nichts zu bemängeln. Wir kommen wieder!

Wunderschönes Hotel an traumhafter Lage mit exquisiter Küche. Sehr nettes Personal. Leider hat der Ventilator im Badezimmer nicht funktioniert und wir wurden trotz mehrmaligen Hinweisen nicht ernst genommen und es wurde auch nichts repariert.

Our stay in Villasimius was unforgettable—the hotel combined spacious, comfortable rooms and excellent service with an unbeatable location right on the water, offering stunning sea views while still being just a short walk from the charming town center and its shops.

Very good hotel , food is exsetional

Séjourner à l’hôtel Simius Playa fut une expérience véritablement exquise, à la hauteur des plus belles adresses méditerranéennes. Niché dans un écrin de verdure, l’établissement offre un jardin somptueux et une piscine d’une élégance rare, propices à la détente et à la contemplation. La chambre, d’un confort irréprochable, était dotée d’un lit king size au moelleux divin, garantissant des nuits paisibles. Chaque détail semble avoir été pensé avec soin : de l’étendoir discret installé à l’extérieur à l’agencement harmonieux de l’espace. Seul un miroir grossissant manquait à l’appel, mais cela n’a en rien altéré la qualité du séjour. Le restaurant gastronomique de l’hôtel mérite une mention particulière : les mets y sont raffinés, savoureux, et servis avec une attention toute particulière. Le personnel, chaleureux et courtois, parle français, ce qui ajoute à la fluidité et au plaisir de l’accueil. Enfin, la célébration du 15 août, fête emblématique en Italie, fut un moment d’exception. L’hôtel a organisé une véritable garden party, avec musiciens et ambiance festive, ponctuée d’une délicate attention : une rose offerte à toutes les dames. Ce geste, empreint de charme et de délicatesse, témoigne du souci du détail qui caractérise l’établissement. Classé quatre étoiles, l’hôtel Simius Playa pourrait sans conteste prétendre à une cinquième, tant la qualité des prestations et l’excellence du service sont au rendez-vous.

Great hotel, our third time here. Love it!

This is by far the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, right on the beach. All the staff are amazing. Giovanni, Eduardo, Antonino, Genny, Reuben, to name a few made our stay so pleasurable. We can’t wait to go back next year. David and Julie.

Overall I would rate this property a 3 stars, the beach and the breakfast was lovely but all the hidden fees were what brought this down for me. Nowhere on Expedia does it say you have to pay for the cabanas on the beach, or for extra towels, everything in the mini bar (although this one is hit or miss, a lot of the 4 star places I stay in usually have the first round free and then anything extra is added one). Our first day at the beach the lifeguard actually said to not worry about the fee and pay for it next time, turns out he added it to the bill anyways which we had to pay at the end of the stay. The hotel itself is outdated and in need of a refresh. Overall majority of the staff were nice, one or two were rude but we brushed that off due to the language barrier. During my time in Sardinia I also stayed in another 4 star hotel and felt so welcomed there and it also had top tier facilities, which may also contribute to me giving this a 3 star…

We are repeat guests of this place. We love it and we love the staff, Barbara , Sergei, Giovanni, Antonio , the chef , the housekeepers and the rest of the crew. They are all so kind and helpful and very service minded. The food is top notch, and they serve their own wine and olive oil from their own gardens. The outside gym is one of our favorite parts of this place. It’s a beautiful hotel with elegant decoration and the location is unbeatable. The owners are so kind and they really care about their guests. We will be back many times for many more years to come.
