The Nostos B&B is located in an old building, the conditions of which are not so appealing. The inside, however, is well docorated and the condition of the room is of very high standard. The location is midway between the railway station and old town, walking time to either is about 10 minutes. The archeological site is also walkable, at a greater distance about 20 minutes away. The inclusive breakfast is served in the restaurant of a nearby bontique hotel. The buffet breakfast is of very high standard and with many choices, not the usual Italian breakfast of conetto and pastry only. My only complaint is that during my stay I found some mosquitos in the room despite turning on the room air-conditioning. I managed to catch 3 but only after I was bitten. The toilet / shower room has no separate ventilation except the window, which I believe was the way-in of the mosquitos.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. L’hébergement est très bien situé très proche d’Ortygia on peut faire énormément de choses à pied. Disponibilité de l’hôte et facilité pour le Check in et Check out, nous recommandons cet établissement.

Todo genial. Cuando llegue, llamé por teléfono y sin estar allí me abrió la puerta del portal y me fue indicando hasta que llegue a la habitación. Una maravilla. Por poner una pega, al hacer la reserva ponía que tenía una botella de vino y no había. Pero vamos, que no la eché de menos.

Excellent location and a clean and renovated apartment. 2 big downsides: 70 stairs walk up to an apartment on 4th floor with laguage !!! WiFi access is very very slow at time up to the point that is not accessible.

Nos encantó, hermoso lugar!

A modern, clean and spacious apartment inside and old apartment building. Surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops. Walkable to the island, which is less than a mile to the bridge. It is a longer and more walk hazardous walk to the Roman ruins, but we did it. Parking is very difficult and the host arranged the valet parking, which isn't cheap at 30€ a day. The apartment is on the second floor which means lots of steps to climb. Also the huge bathroom light and fan comes on automatically and that disturbs partner during the night and echoes very loudly. The hot water takes a long time to turn hot. The shower is a rainfall shower and huge, with a separate handset. The bath a large, modern still for 2. The kitchen is very good, except no microwave. It has free water in the fridge as well as freezer, dishwasher and fully equipped. Although more cups and glasses would be nice. I don't think the aircon was working though. It could be the time of year at Easter, like our last stay, but it really should be available.

The room was cold and the walls so thin that you could hear every noise.

the hotel is newly renovated, and in a good location within walking distance to both the bus and train station and to Ortigia and even the historical ancient Greek theater. the only downside is there is no lift, you need to carry the luggage up by stairs. the staff Damina is very friendly and helpful, even help us to carry a luggage up.

We were able to communicate in English without any problems.

Wir haben 6 Nächte dort verbracht und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Man ist gleich mitten in der Altstadt. Der Eingang ist zunächst etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Man geht durch eine kleine Holztür und die Treppe hinauf. Alles schon etwas älter. Im ersten Stock steht man aber dann vor einer freundlichen Eingangstür. Die Unterkunft selber ist sehr modern und gut ausgestattet. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag geputzt. Und, wie schon gesagt, die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar.

Bak en nesten usynlig hoveddør går du opp i 2 etasje og kommer inn i eksklusivt hotell. Smakfullt og stor takhøyde. Å legge frokosten til luksushotellet rett ved var også en berikelse. Blid og servicevennlig italiener i resepsjonen

The property is situated on the first floor of an old building with no lifts. It is very convenient to the centre and it’s a lovely walk to the sights. Parking can be a little difficult to find so you may have to be ready to walk. Highly recommend the property for a couple nights stay.

I recently stayed at the Nostos rooms & Apartments in Syracuse, Sicily, Italy. Everything was great including the location, and I have no complaints. When we requested an iron and ironing board, they were brought to our room. There was no bathtub, but the shower was big! I highly recommend this hotel.
