I recently stayed at North Star Villa, and while the property itself has potential, the experience was dampened by several significant oversights that didn't quite live up to the "luxury" expectations. The Main Issues: The Pool: The biggest disappointment was the pool being out of commission for our entire stay. While we were informed about this, it’s a primary amenity that we were really looking forward to using over the weekend. Having a villa stay without a functional pool definitely takes away from the overall value. Connectivity: The WiFi was incredibly spotty. In this day and age, reliable internet is a baseline requirement, and we found it difficult to stay connected or get any basic tasks done online. Security Concerns: I was quite surprised by the lack of security protocols. I was able to enter the premises without any form of ID confirmation or rigorous check-in process. For a private villa, you expect a much higher level of security and gatekeeping to ensure guest safety. IMPORTANT NOTE: The security had no idea how to locate the villa and it was even clear that he had no idea that said villa existed. Summary: The villa is beautiful, but the lack of maintenance on the pool, poor technical infrastructure, and lax security made for a frustrating stay. I hope the management addresses these issues, as the property has a lot of promise if managed correctly.

Northstar Villa provides a safe and tranquil environment for their guests'. The grounds are well maintained and extremely clean, thanks to Mr Henry. He provided our party with coconuts and made us feel welcomed. The pool is extremely clean and well maintained. The beach is a 2 minute walk down the street. The rooms are large and comfortable, with air conditioning. Included with room is mini-fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortably . The rooms are immaculate and taken care of by Ms Norma. She provided excellent service to our party, she anticipated and was accommodating to our needs. Ms Norma and Mr Henry are a great team .

We only used the place (Room 4) to sleep and shower. Spent most of our time with friends a short walk away. The people were very nice, (house manager, pool person, yard person). The property was affordable, but is in need of some attention. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The shower water stream was inconsistent. A/c worked great. Bed was comfortable. Pool looked great, but we never went in. We had a kitchenette but no safe in the room. They did provide a contact for airport transfer from Montego Bay. Felt safe in the community.

the room was dirty , the location trying to find was not easy . room is very small , a cheap folding table with outside lawn furniture to sit on. i made an error on the booking dates and was charged double the daily rate i booked. AND the place was EMPTY . could have charged me the same daily rate i was charged in the beginning. was totally upset with the whole place. i seriously thought about leaving. the bathroom bowl was filthy, no one cleaned under or behind the furniture, the refrigerator didn't work. THIS IS NOT A PLACE I COULD RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS . i really don't know how my girlfriend and i stayed the whole week. the crew you have working there are very nice , Andrew was exceptional, Herbie and Nora nice as well but I was not happy

Well first off all we were pleasantly surprised how nice the place was. We only stay one night but we were impressed by the place, how clean the property was and not to mention the staff. It's only 9 rooms so don't go expecting all inclusive treatment then be disappointed, which we weren't because we knew during booking that it was not. The bedroom is very nice also the bathroom. Miss Norma the housekeeper very welcoming and friendly, and last but not least the grounds man , Herbie big up to him he's the one who takes care of the property and make sure we had our jelly coconut water in the morning. Yes I would definitely stay at Northstar Villa again but for longer it's peaceful and quiet.
