I thought it would be a hotel, but it's more like a 4-bedroom bed and breakfast. The view is gorgeous. It was secluded, peaceful and quiet -- just what I needed at the time.

We had such a great stay at Somewhere West. The staff was so helpful. It was so convenient that they helped us drive into town and back (big thanks to Adrian). Such a beautiful view and all the food was perfect. The only thing negative to note is one night the dogs were barking at something that woke us up a few times. Hope we get a chance to go back sometime.

Simply incredible! I visited the restaurant here in June with a friend. I loved it so much that I returned to stay here & ended up extending my stay—it was that spectacular. The views are the best I’ve had in JA. The sea is only 10 feet below the saltwater pool (you can snorkel when it’s calm), and the waves often crash up onto the pool deck. The surf is so peaceful to listen to. Several mornings I saw dolphins right out in front! There is a lot to do nearby and many places to eat within 5 mins. The units are spotless, the grounds are lovely, the staff is wonderful, the food here delicious. I felt like I had private staff for a week!! Maid service was there when I requested it (free), comfort food was made fresh by Capo. I recommend his brown stew snapper with pumpkin rice, which was the best rice I’ve ever had. Maxine refreshed my unit beautifully, & Adrian, the groundskeeper/driver who lives on site was wonderful. He took me to visit local places he likes, not the tourist places, & made me feel incredibly safe and pampered. If I needed anything 24/7, he was just steps away along with Angela, the owner. She is a lovely person, & the place gives off the good vibes she’s planted here. The units & grounds are thoughtful—there is a story behind it all which she proudly preserves as part of the historical soul of this place. I will be back next month & I’m bringing friends, & have planned a girl-getaway here next summer. Thank you, Somewhere West, for being so amazing!!
