The home was really nice. The location is also excellent. The check in process was super easy.
The only issue was the bathroom was on the first floor but the bedroom is on the second floor. So if you have to use the bathroom at night, you have to go down the stairs.

Loved the atmosphere and location, would definitely stay here again or at another machiya holiday house location! I misunderstood about the bedding and thought that the traditional Japanese bedroom was the default, so I was slightly disappointed when I realized that the western bedroom was the one that was prepared. But that's my fault for not clarifying ahead of time, and we still found the western beds to be very comfortable.
