East SQUARE Tokyo

My family and I stayed at East Square when visiting Japan for the first time. We were so impressed with the excellent service and the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Japan in the future.

All the staff were amazing! From the moment we arrived (Yu checked us in who was wonderful), the staff we talked to the next day to the staff that checked us out, they were all so amazing. Look forward to future stays here again. It's close to train station so you can pretty much get wherever you need to be!

We like the amenities of the room with kitchenette for our family. We like the room was kept clean in general like the dining table was not oily or dusty to touch and decent size for Japan standards. We like the friendly staff especially Yu san. He was very personable so much so my son loves him. We like that the staff can speak English. We like that the hotel is 5 min walking distance to the nearest train station. We don't like the comforter inside the white sheets were stained (we question if it has been cleaned especially the color is yellow compared to outside sheet cover) and that the outside sheet cover has a large opening to let it slide out as we shift positions during sleeping. We don't like the bathroom countertop is made of wood which cause water seepage and noticeable stains from past usage. We would like to see more wall hooks for our bags and bath towels. Overall a good solid choice.

The front desk employees were very friendly and helpful with every question I asked. The location was great and safe to walk around at night to local grocery stores 2 blocks down.Our go to’s were 7/11 and Lawsons.Around the block from subway station which was super convenient! Kitchenette also included pots , plates , cups , mugs and utensils !The washing machine was a good size and detergent was provided. I liked that the shower and toilet were in separate rooms. Will definitely be booking again for next trip !

Hannah and Yu were amazing, always assisting and making accomodations for us. The hotel was clean and in a safe, quiet area, a 2 min walk to the train station. Would stay here again for sure. Thank you East Square!

Extremely friendly staff, very quiet residential neighborhood, directly adjacent to subway. Not much in neighborhood in way of restaurants, shopping, or entertainment but a 20 subway ride away

Staff was so friendly everyday and the rooms were perfect for my family! The laundry was an added bonus!!

Huge rooms and a quiet hotel. It is really close to public transport, heaps of food options nearby and it's a really nice neighbourhood. The best bit by far was the service, the people working there were so nice and happy, good genuine people. Definitely stay here if you get the chance.

We thought East Square Tokyo was a great find for our family of four adults, especially so as we had plenty of room, it was so clean and quiet, the local area handy for anything you may need AND only a short walk from the train. It is positioned in an area that allows easy access to the whole of Tokyo. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating too!! My only small complaint would be to suggest an extra towel rack in the bathroom and hand towel in the toilet. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend East Square Tokyo!

Located near Morishita station. Check in and check out is a breeze. Warm and friendly staffs. Free snack (rice cracker, instant coffee) as well as cold and hot water available for guest. Although the washing machine was faulty, staff provided free laundry service via nearby laundromat. Overall, recommended.

East SQUARE Tokyo was an absolutely incredible place to stay as first time travellers to Japan! The place is new and the rooms are great. It is located super close to a metro station that has trains going in both directions so you can find yourself in the thick of things in absolutely no time at all, but still come home to the quite location with supermarkets and convenience stores on the back door. Having the kitchen meant we could cook ourselves breakfast each morning, because breakfast can be difficult to find in Japan. The staff speak incredible english and are happy to help with everything you need. The only thing I took one star off for was the location (not the hotel itself) and that is only because it was almost impossible for me to eat as a vegetarian. This was a bit a of a stressor but we found ways to work around, and again this is only for "location" not for the hotel itself which was AMAZING!!!!

Great fully stocked service apartment type for a big families. Great customer service and staff speaks English very well. Very near Morishita station (<5min walk), but note that station is far from center of most happening areas in Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza). If you want a big space and an affordable rate, this is a good choice. Note that there is no room cleaning services, towels changing / rubbish clearing/ basic toilet cleaning is done once every 2 days.

The location is unbeatable—close to everything you need while still being tucked away enough to ensure a peaceful stay. The surroundings are quiet, making it perfect for relaxation after a busy day. Transit options are incredibly convenient, with easy access to public transportation and major routes, so getting around the city is a breeze.

simple and nice stay

At check in, we were greeted by a friendly staff who gave us very detailed briefing of the apartment and facilities. The rooms were spotless. Only complaint is that the hot water would turn cold for 1-2 seconds during a shower and lack of hooks or towel rods to hang our clothes and towels. There was only 1 clothes rack that could barely accommodate all our winter jackets. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay, located near several convenience shops and eateries, a short walk to the metro station and easy to get to almost everywhere.
