The staff and service at this facility is incredible. The main lobby areas and dining areas are beautiful and clean. The only reason it doesn’t get five stars all around is that the rooms were lacking. The balconies were cute. But the bathroom dull and outdated. There was an issue with water on the carpet which left it smelling less than fresh

The room we stayed in looked really outdated with visibly dirty and old carpets,

The staff was kind and the communal areas were beautiful. The room experience was not good as the room was not clean and there were bad stains all over the floor. In addition the laundry service at the hotel was very expensive. The price to stay at this hotel was not appropriate for the experience had.

Japanese garden set up is lovely

I feel like we got scammed!!! The outside and the lobby look modernized and new, but the second we entered our room we felt like we went back in time to the 80s! The room was so outdated, and it felt gross staying in there. The pillows had stains, the bed skirt and carpet were ripped. What?!

This hotel has very high star rating, but is very dated in the room decor and, even worse, is dingy and a bit run down. The poor ratings were relative to the star level of this property. I was super disappointed and dissatisfied with the room we were given. The rug and the sofa had several nasty looking stains. Gross. The bed was very worn out and soft/with lumps. Even the toilet looked old and was retro fitted with a bidet fixture. Rather sad for higher end Japanese hotel. Worst of all, when I wrote the hotel the night after we checked in, I didn’t get a response for almost 24hrs. I was offered a change of rooms - but it didn’t make sense since it was our last night (2day stay). When I asked if they would comp us a dinner, they refused and only offered us buffet breakfast, which was not very good. Overall, this hotel was not nearly as nice as others in Osaka and Hakone.

We have been there many times and we like it

We booked this last minute and it was perfect. Easy check in, comfortable bed, great view. The lobby is beautiful and it's close to the train station.

A very nice hotel!

Very nice facility in quiet area.

It’s a typical Japanese hotel. Maybe one notch better than APA. Don’t consider it to be a 4 star hotel. it’s a factory , no early check in no late check out. No request entertained. I specifically requested that my room should not be very far from elevator and instead they gave me the last room in the hall and asked to adjust for 5 nights. No room service. The rooms were not being cleaned properly. Probably by the time cleaners reached my room they must be tired.
