My husband and I and our 2 friends stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata In April 2025 - 2 rooms facing the river. Rooms were spacious, clean, bright with comfortable beds and linens. The hotel & restaurant service is beyond outstanding - despite the restaurant being closed (that served Cherries Jubilee ), the hosts graciously opened the restaurant for us and their chef prepared a spectacular Cherries Jubilee dessert for the 4 of us ! The Breakfast buffet was outstanding. A wonderful assortment of hot dishes including eggs, omelets, Japanese offerings, Cappucino's , salmon, fresh fruits, croissants and salads. Taxi service was readily available. The hotel is in an excellent location downtown with easy access to see sights and restaurants. Would definitely stay again when we return to Japan

From check in to check out staff was on point. Always a staff to take your luggage out of taxi and take it to your room, calling a taxi for you even directing you to the breakfast buffet. All staff in hotel was amazing.

朝食が込み合っていて、待つのは仕方ないし良いのですが、食べ始めて３０分たたない内にあと10分で片付けますは悲しかったです。
1人3000円という値段に対し、少し残念と感じました。
部屋に関しては、他の部屋の水道の音が少し気になりました。
全般的には良かったので機会があればまた利用します。

I will be honest. My wife and I have never seen such a warm service mind and such high level hospitality staff compared to many 5 star hotels in the world. Of course, this hotel building is old. But our stay here was comfortable. This hotel is very memorable for our stay.

We stayed in this hotel many years ago and remembered it as a classy hotel ... it has lost a bit of its luster over the years. We were disappointed in the choices of food, no room service, the bar was nice but only had snacks like nuts or a cheese plate. We even walked across the bridge to Bandai area and most places had shut down by the time we got there. And this was a Saturday night,

We had a view of the river. It was a pleasant view. The building was older but the room size was comfortable and the room clean We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The staff were very nice and helpful. Had lots of capacity and services for weddings. Location was good for access to downtown Niigata.
