I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. The staff was very informative and accommodating to my needs while speaking english. I felt right at home. The free hot chocolate was delicious which I sipped graciously in the living room after a hot soak in the private onsen. I had such a relaxing experience. I am looking forward to visiting Yufuin again and returning to this hotel!

Very good accommodation. I stayed with a big family of older folks and young children, so my rooms at the first level were perfect for me.

Good place with good onsen. The room is very clean and the staff are very nice.

The large, high-ceilinged rooms were nice, as were the common spaces, onsen baths, and free bicycle rentals (though we didn't use them because it was cold). The staff was very helpful, especially when pointing out places to eat in town. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but we found the location charming and not difficult to reach, given that the town is fairly small and mostly flat.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and cosy. Provide additional services and facilities which my children love very much. Such as bicycles, music guitar, drink machines, snookers tables, etc. We enjoy the family onsen too.

Great experience. The staff is nice and helpful. The room is clean. Location is quite good, though it is a bit difficult to locate as we drove there at night. It’s dark outside. The room is comfortable although it is not spacious as I thought. The bathroom is small. And the bathtub is too tall for my grandmother to use. In general, we had a great stay and recommend this guesthouse for others!

When love the place very much! Especially the private onsen, for those who are shy to share onsen with other people. Just take note the location can’t be located in waze, you have to use google map to find the location.

Stayed only one night to enjoy the surrounding areas.

Very comfortable room. We slept really well after soaking in our onsen.

This onsen ryokan has so much personality like none I have stayed before. My family got to play pool and ride bikes to explore the surroundings. One can even rent their bbq pit and enjoy a bbq session at their balcony. The private onsen rooms are perfect for family too. Staff speaks English and are friendly and helpful. Area is quite dark at night though so if one does not drive, may not be that convenient to venture out.
