Nice, big onsen.

Whenever we return to Kobe from US, we stay here at least a couple of days. We always look forward to the quiet atmosphere, excellent buffet for morning and/or evening, or ala carte (menu is very extensive) restaurant. We love the Onsen, of course! This is one of the main reasons we come back to Kobe Minato Onsen Ren. Staff are always courteous and polite. We are planning to stay again in April this year. Looking forward to it very much!

They need to train their staff immediately on customer service. This is the worst hotel check in that I have experienced in my life. The particular hotel check in staff does not know the meaning of hospitality service.

I went this hotel 5years ago it was amazing stay because I came back with my family again this summer. But our loom had musty wired smell immediately my kids keeping to tell me “ this room really stinks !” .. also when we was public ONSEN smell not right smell like toilet Perfume .. really strong smell at ONSEN uncomfortable smell. makes me Headache .5years ago they don’t have thin kind smell at all We went a lot ONSEN but never had smell like that. This hotel is not same as 5years ago. Really disappointed never again.

Beautiful ryokan but would like them to adopt a more modern practice of allowing tattoos.

We booked the Harbour suite which was super spacious. We loved the private onsen which was really large. The spring water was a bit too hot for our liking . The buffet dinner was worth every cent. A proper Japanese expereince in food and culture. It felt like we were the only foreign tourists staying here which made it really unique like we had found a hidden gem. After dinner we went for a walk along the promenade which goes around the hotel. It was really nice walking besides the water with wonderful night views of kobe tower and surrounds.

My family enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Oasis in the middle of the city. This is the city style ryokan I when stayed at, and what an experience! The room is spacious and airy, modern but still all the Japanese zen elements. The breakfast buffet is full of local selections, with western and Japanese items. There are two onsens to choose from, one with rooftop view and another one with large outdoor bath. I’ll recommend staying here over any traditional western style hotel. The Kobe port is right next the hotel and the main subway station is 15 minutes away by walking.

Beautiful hotel but for the price, you are not really getting the value. The WiFi is awful and never works, the front desk is not very friendly or welcoming, the strict 5pm checkin feels rigid and obsolete when there are clearly rooms available earlier, paying 1000 yen to use the gym when you’re a hotel guest is actually offensive, and unless you get a room facing the marina, you will face the construction side which has no view and just jack hammer construction sounds all day. Maybe this is just a foreigners perspective as there don’t seem to be many non-Japanese here, but feels like this place could be so much better with a bit more effort and accommodations.

There’s a lot of construction going on at the moment , and more of an adult ambiance- very quiet and more family oriented .

I checked in half an hour earlier before official check-in. The room is in the Japanese style, huge, clean, beautiful. The hotel has 2 onsens, one on the 1-st floor and another on the 10-th floor. Both were excellent! Breakfast and dinner were amazing and very delicious! The location is very good, in the very picturesque place by the sea. The hotel has the bus shuttle to the central station, it runs every half an hour, but it is possible to walk from the central station to the hotel and it took me about 15 minutes.

온천시설이 저녁까지 이용가능해서 너무 좋았습니다. 주차료는 1000엔으로 할인해주고, 주위에 걸어갈만한 편의점은 없으나 조식은 만족스럽습니다.

Excellent property very spacious and clean.

I really liked the spa.. will be back soon.

Kids-free accommodation is the best 😜
