Beautiful, trendy hotel that has the most perfection location! Just 2 minute walk from the train station that is one stop from Ikebukuro. This place is perfect! The family room layout is also an incredible efficient use of space. We loved staying here so much! Away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to everything.

Perfect location 5 minute walk from Otsuka JR station. Area is outside of busy tourist areas, more local food and shopping options. Hotel was spotless, staff went above and beyond to make stay enjoyable. On site restaurant great for breakfast. Free walking tours of the area. DJ and activities in lobby area in the evening. Highly recommend.

Hotel very well located near station. We tried the loft rooms. Unfortunately we were too tall and had to stoop down a lot. More like staying in a cave.

Amazing! Already loved the area so this hotel is a great addition. Comfortable. Great service. Best pyjamas Love the toilet being separated from the shower/tub. The front desk were super helpful with cables and scales Hallways were too hot in my opinion. Already planning on going back

Good location off JR line. Small unit but functional. Bunk bed space tight and low ceiling but it worked. Kids enjoyed the breakfast.

Quiet, but not much shopping around the area. Have to take train to Ikebukuro, but it could be within 15-20 minutes walk to Sunshine City

Condition of the room needs maintenance Moulds in bathroom, moulds near windows, window frame swollen from moisture, wall paper peeling off

What a cool hotel. Easy access to train station to get around Tokyo. The whole setup was great, reception and bar and then ten room was a great use of skace based on a traditional Japanese set up!

We enjoyed our stay at OMO5 Otsuka. Breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and carefully designed to optimise the space. However, the loft space would make it hard for tall people to be comfortable. We stand about 165-170cm, and could just stand up underneath the loft space, but still had to duck under the beams.

Nicely designed room. Enjoyed with eyes. But functionality of room is ?. Prrsonally mezza 9 should be 10cm higher. We didnt find aircon controller in a room. It was unusually warm day for November and we were staying at 13F. It was too hot and we couldnt sleep. There was no bottle of water or tea / coffee to offer, only green tea bag at the lobby. Lobby was full of suit case. You have to walk carefully between luggages. Toilet at the lobby was full of dust on the floor.

The room was pretty unique and interactive. We loved our stay in this hotel and the staff were super helpful.

Situated very close to train station so getting round Tokyo was very easy, staff were friendly and room was very clean can’t fault it at alo

I booked this hotel for its look and larger space. It looks just like pictures. The tatami type thick futon mats in the loft area were so comfortable for sleeping and it was nice feeling like you were going into a separate space for nighttime. The layout of the room is great too, with the toilet, shower and sink all separate. And there's room for luggage. If your observation about Japan having small hotel rooms bothers you, this is a great place! We loved how close we were to the Otsuka train station and could easily catch the JY line. That being said, you are 15-40 minutes commute from the tourist sites, but that was what I liked about it. It had a more local, alternative scene and wasn't congested like tourist areas. For English speakers, you might have trouble at the front desk conversing, but I got my issue sorted still and it worked out. I do wish they provided room slippers. The area has lots of izakayas to eat/drink. Or you could walk about 20 minutes and get to the Sunshine City area. Next time we go to Tokyo, we'd stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at OMO5. I think the only let down is they only have 2 drying machines to cater all guests. But overall the experience was great. The location is unbeatable. We will come again when visit Tokyo next time.
