It is fabulous ovwrlooking the hill behind the hotel and walking down to the promenade that is only 5mins away from hotel. Convenient and very comfortable location.

Not too many choices at Onomichi. As we arrived around dinner time, there was a yisakaya nearby, which was good taste. Hotel room itself was clean and was the same small size as the other budget hotels. Front staff was friendly welcome and helpful.

This hotel is a good 10 minute walk from the train station near the ropeway. Rooms are dated and are standard Japanese size. The bathroom had a high step up into the bathroom and is very small and tight to move around. We found it hard to sleep as we could hear the people next door and the bright aircon lights lit up the room. The block out curtains unfortunately didn’t block out the morning light on the sides. There is a coffee pod machine on the upper level along with washer and drier. This is the first hotel I’ve seen where you have to pay for ice.
