Under Railway Hotel Akihabara

It's a different type of hotel, but my family and I like it. Even though its under the monorail, yes you could hear it, but it didn't bother us at all. Maybe the only downfall is the bathroom, it is small. My 3 kids loved there own beds, very comfy they said. The hotel has a Cafe which is very nice and good food and obviously a good café. I do recommend and it is close to the train station and various restaurants and stores.

So as is in the name this hotel is based underneath a railway track, due to this it can be very noisy, also there is a fire station opposite which was quite busy while we were there. However strangely within 24hrs I was used to the trains and didn't even hear them half the time. We were 3 adults and even though one bed was a double we had a bed each there was room to store suitcases a small hanging area for clothes and drawers under the bed to put clothes in. The shower worked well and there was shower gel shampoo and conditioner supplied. We also had a kettle and fridge in the room and paper cups were supplied. The hotel was ideal for accessing the station, there were shops and restaurants all around so was a perfect place to stay. They also had a small menu to purchase at the hotel if you choose. I would definitely stay at this hotel again it was perfect for our needs.

Had the best sleep of our six night Japan trip at this hotel. Maybe it was the trains passing above us that helped us sleep well. The property is very groovy and well situated next to the Akihabara subway station. The staff was very helpful. Loved the vinyl record store next door.
