Beautiful, calm setting. Perfect for a respite after a long trip over from the states. Wonderful staff, good food, and lovely gardens and pool.
This property is beyond charming. It is so beautiful! From the building, the furnishings, the rooms, to the gardens... it was like a hidden garden in the city. The staff was so very kind and easy to work with. The meals were splendid and dining outdoors to candlelight in the evening was pure perfection. I only wish we had stayed longer!
This a proper guest house, where you are welcomed by the owner and his excellent staff. The common areas are esthetically pleasing, with carefully curated collections of African art, historical maps, and one of the best Matchbox toy car fleet I have ever seen. There are multiple sitting areas indoors and in the garden area for the guests occupying the eight rooms to enjoy. Rooms are large with all the modern conveniences. Although a relatively new build, it has been purposely finished to resemble an old manor home. The service was excellent. The breakfasts and dinners the best we had on our extended trip. Special thanks to Chefs Patrick and Robin for accomodating my dietary requirements. And Newton and Mumbo's service and advice on wine much appreciated. We a little sheepishly took advantage of the complimentary laundry service as we had just finished an 8 day safari in hot, wet, muddy conditions, but we were so grateful.
