I booked the La Mada Hotel as it was advertised as an airport hotel and decided being close to the airport was a good safe choice for my first four nights in Nairobi, Kenya. The hotel is 10 miles from the airport and their shuttle is $50 which I was not aware of. But once I was able to get an Uber, the cost was KSH1600 (about $14) which took me directly to the hotel. I was very happy when I arrived to the hotel as I went through security and the hotel is located in the middle of a forest. The check in process with Christine was seamless. The bellman was very accommodating and the room was close to the lobby and the pool. Each room has it's own water heater which allows for a hot shower almost every time. Elvis was working at the bar and was very friendly and professional. The service across the board was always professional and friendly. I thought I had a reservation after my initial reservation from 4/11 to 4/15 and as it turned out, I didn't so the La Mada Hotel easliy accomodated me for 5 more nights. The desk agents, supervisors and managers were very professional and handled all of my needs. These agents included Christine, Ben, Keith and their Accountant Frances providing me with Kenyan Shilling change when needed. All charges were handled well and the staff was always gracious when receiving any kind of tip. The servers: Veronikah, Elvis, Nelson, Meshka, Frank and so many others were so professional and prompt. Joe & Joe (mgrs) were constantly present

The staff was very professional, helpful and polite. There was prompt service.

Underbart hotell which I chose because of its closeness to Karua Forest (perfect running spot). Here you wake up in the morning from the sound of birds singing. Its just a perfect hotell with perfect location.
