Expedia Group verified review

Das Delux Appartment war noch in Renovierung. Die 2 Ersatzzimmer waren aber OK. Nach 2 Wochen wollte man uns in ein altes Appartment ohne funktionierende Klimaanlage umsiedeln, oder mit hoher Aufzahlung uns in den Ersatzzimmern lassen.Wir akzeptierten das nicht.Und man wollte uns bei der Abreise nicht auschecken lassen, weil angeblich das ganze Geld von Expedia nicht überwiesen wurde?Nach 3 Wochen, 4 Stunden vor Abflug mit so einer Nachricht kommen, very strange? Wir haben das nicht akzeptiert, sind abgereist , haben den Manager auch noch gefragt ob er uns die Flugticket zahlt? Management war komisch , das restliche Personal aber sehr freundlich , familär und hilfsbereit.

The beach front is great. The food and service was great. The rooms are not in good condition more so the apartments. We had to be moved from the apartments to double rooms. Swimming pools is filled with locals over the weekends with loud music.

Expedia Group verified review

The worst hotel I have stayed at in Kenya. 1 towel for 2, no soap to wash, A/C did not function, no TV. At restaurant, I looked at the menu and asked for mutton, answer "Sorry, no mutton!" I asked for prawns. "Sorry, we have no prawns." I asked for fish filets. So, no fish fillets!" I walked out and had dinner at a beach restaurant. To top it all, upon our arrival, the receptionist informed us that the hotel had not received any information from Expedia. So I had to register and pay cash. THE WORS HOTEL IN KENYA AFTER STAYING AT AT LEAST 15 HOTWLS SINCE 2016!!! IN THE SWIMMING POOLS, ONE CAN ONLY STAND. THEY WERE BOTH OVERCROWDED!

Positive first, the staff was wonderful. Well, that's all on the positive. Yes there is humidity in Mombasa but these fixtures have not been maintained or replaced, at all. Blood on the pillow case ane comforter, glasses not clean, towels worn thin, I could go on. Great concept, poor execution. What restaurant. Luckily we only went for breakfast and that was sad at that. No pool umbrellas, no chaise or chairs to sit and look at the ocean. I won't even begin to talk about the number of daily visitors that don't enable an overpaying resident to use the facilities.

Expedia Group verified review

I spent 2.5 hours for check in. The manager said to me that their hotel doesn't have a contract with Expedia, the hotel management has been changed, my Expedia voucher is strange, she didn't know the phone numbers indicated there and even welcome mail sent to me the day before check in didn't convince her. She said that it would be better to pay in cash to hotel and later on ill be capable to recover my payment to Expedia. I said that something was definitely wrong in her position and I didn't believe that Expedia could make such a mistake. Finally, after couple hours and several calls to the numbers indicated in voucher she convinced someone to transfer money to them I was given the room and the card with WIFI network names and passwords. I was quite surprised when I couldn't detect any of these networks in my room...:-))) then, hotel staff started to check all available rooms for wifi network availability and I was moved to other room where I still couldn't get connection. I left hotel to do something in town while they had to fix wifi issues. The water in shower is coming out by drops, it was almost impossible to take a shower. The next morning, there were not water in shower at all. The fittings and pipelines are rasted and faulty, the cold water line is not working at all. Finally WIFI was fixed with very weak signal which periodically disappeared at all.... Air Conditioner is very noisy, TV has only two channels, one is a local channel and National Geographic....
