YOHO 金银岛酒店

Arrived at 3pm on an August weekday for one night. Check-in process was smooth with a bit of wait but one can tell the counters were trying their best to move the line. I booked the basic fountain-view room and got upgraded to a seaview on the 10/F. The room is spectacular, well maintained and clean. Took us some time to find the subtle air-condition control which is part of the light control panel next to the bed. We used the pool, it was great. 5pm is when the pool starts to get crowded. The only downside is that the hair dryer is not working. That’s not the problem. The problem is that no staff is picking up the housekeeping or operator hotline. I tried calling a few times over 30 minutes. I also took me a few trials to get to someone when I called front desk the next day. My requests are all fulfilled to be fair to them, just that don’t expect you can find someone right away. This is a hotel I can consider going back to. I like that it is close to city centre but not as busy as other hotels as there is no casino linked to this hotel.

The service and room amenities are nice. The restaurants serve wonderful food and the waiters are very helpful and polite. There are shuttle buses to different hotels which is a plus because the hotel isn’t located in the city centre. Another plus is the supermarket. We can buy snacks and all daily necessities there. However, the TV remote control is difficult to use even we are using it right in front of the TV. Maybe there’s a problem with the sensor. One more problem is the bathtub. We wanted to enjoy bathing but we could never fill up the bath tub even after half an hour. We didn’t report this problem to the front desk or house keeping because it’s to late at night. Pls check and maintain the bathtubs to ensure they are in good condition.

這次訂兩間房一間排在湖景看到澳門塔，一間排在城市景看到葡京酒店的夜景，兩邊都很漂亮。 覺得這間酒店很舒服，房間內的設備也很新穎。散步到周邊的古蹟區，也不會太遠。 的確會要求一間房間要刷2000澳幣的保證金。如果下雨想要借傘還會要求$200的押金服務人員有的客氣有的比較不客氣，這個部分的觀感就看個人遇到什麼狀況了。
