Toilet was not flushing, no hot water on the first day. I contacted the property they never answered, pull out sofa was so uncomfortable. Shower had a window facing the kitchen and you can see through. Water would leak out of shower and water was all over bathroom. And stairs up to the shower was dangers. Outlets didn’t work properly. It’s absolutely not a four-star hotel. I would not recommend this place!!

Paulous Valletta was an absolutely fantastic stay. We had the room on at the top with the balcony overlooking the harbour and our to sea. Highly, highly recommend! Comfy bed, great shower, little private kitchen (down some steep steps but if you're mobile absolutely fine). And the view from the balcony (with loungers) was great. Very well located, walking distance from everything and quiet at night. Thanks! Will come back :)

Great hotel

A quirky old Maltese house. Very clean and comfortable room and bed with lovely harbour views. The roof terrace was lovely but the lighting was all from the floor upwards and made seeing to walk around rather dangerous. Also unable to see to read on the balcony too due to the lighting and no comfy chairs to relax outside.

We liked that we could walk to the wharf where our cruise ship was docked. We appreciated the owner/manager's help in working that out. The breakfast was very good.

Hote serviable, chambre propre. Mais la douche n'est pas aux normes. Elle n'est pas adaptée et glissante. J'ai chuté et je me suis blessé à l'épaule sur un rebord saillant à l'interieur de la douche.

Litt under standard enn det jeg hadde forventet/er vandt med. Dårlig frokost. Ok lokasjon mtp. beliggenhet.

Very cool and interesting hotel but when we went to check in they told us hotels.com booked wrong room and we didn’t have room. They eventually said they could give us a different room but was very stressful and confusing when felt it shouldn’t have been

Parking was a nightmare. Breakfast terrible & staff were not helpful

Estancia fue buena, muy bien comunicado,muy limpio en pleno centro pero nada ruidoso .. La cama muy cómoda. Pero el cuarto de baño pequeño, la Ducha,muy bonita pero muy peligrosa con unos escalones. Los propietarios nos ayudaron con recomendaciones. Pero antes de llegar , envié dos mensajes con dudas que no respondieron,

The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the high beamed ceiling, the very UK decor, and the balcony overlooking the street where the Easter parade passed by. A message sent us offered to organize the transfer to and from the property, but our message accepting that offer was ignored. That was just as well since the prices quoted were higher than what we experienced. Instead of 20 euro from the airport, the Malta Transfer van got us within a block of the property for five euro. When we were ready to return the staff arranged a taxi for us that cost 11.25 euro.

Clean and smart property- quirky features, great staff

You can't get a better location than paulos, right in the centre of Valletta and waking distance to everything. The rooms are a little worse for wear (bathroom window wouldn't shut and the door handle kept coming off) but all manageable and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Breakfast was fine. Biggest issue for us is that the room itself would not lock and this was not fixed for our entire stay. Luckily we had no real valuables with us and the building felt quite safe, but this was not ideal. The communication about it was limited and slow. Eventually the owners simply said it wasn't fixable because a company was closed. No effort to fix through different means (we suggested the physical lock that was also on the door) or provide us an alternative safe space. At one point the door did lock itself whilst we were out, we were not told but had luckily taken the key with us anyway. This didn't ruin our stay but did cause a bit of anxiety and unnecessary stress on the holiday. I imagine if wouldn't be the case if you were there at any time other than Christmas as hopefully the lock company would be open.

This place was a lot better than expected. Quite and clean. Breakfast was super nice and close by everything. Staffs are so kind… Highly recommended to stay here Jake from LA

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Unser Zimmer war einmalig schön mit einer wundervollen Aussicht aud die 3 cities und die Häfen. Das Personal war sehr sehr zuvorkommend und die Hilfe bei Ausflügen und Tipps einfach toll. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Loved the room and the quirkiness. The room was really clean. Only issue was confusion getting in - the instructions we had emailed were different from the reality of getting in. But apart from that it was great!

We found this property to be in a very good location within minutes walk from all the shops bars ect Very spacious room breakfast was included which was very good
