Amazing beach, great food, good airport pick up experience. Great experience overall.

This is the place to stay if you are looking to disconnect and recharge. It is located in the Sian Ka An Reserve and about 1-2 miles away from the upscale restaurants and nightlife. There are bikes on site that we used when we ventured out. Armando went above and beyond to make this a great stay. From making restaurant recommendations and dishes to try to providing transportation, he really treated us like VIP’s!

Libelula Tulum Beachfront Hotel truly exceeded my expectations. We stayed for 10 glorious days. The rooms were tasteful and comfortable, with breathtaking ocean views nestled in the privacy and tranquil part of a nature reserve. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure every need was met. The beach was stunning, perfect for relaxation and sunset gazing. The food and drinks were delicious. I highly recommend this gem for a tranquil and unforgettable Tulum experience. A special thanks to Armandito who made us feel like family. You are a special type of human. Keep on doing what you do. Also thanks to Miguel, Mansour, Sam, George and Karla for making our stay memorable.

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home After six trips to Tulum, we finally found a place we’d return to again and again. La Libélula isn’t just a hotel—it’s a feeling. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of a family. Jorge welcomed us with a smooth check-in and was kind and available throughout our stay. Armandito curated the bar with intention and soul—only local Mexican spirits, honoring the region’s flavors and traditions. Sam - Hands down some of the best craft cocktails, Manzur - always made sure our food was always on point and received the best service. The food was equally memorable. From fresh, local breakfast options (and GF if that’s your thing) to the most flavorful ceviche and aguachile. Don’t forget to try the fish with the yucca puree for dinner. La Libélula is not about cookie-cutter luxury or robotic service. It’s about being seen, feeling at peace, and truly unwinding. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. It’s the kind of place that stays with you—where the people, the energy, and the care make it more than just a vacation. We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing views, comfort and delicious food

This is not a nice hotel. DO NOT BE DECEIVED, there are so many options available in the hotel zone that are much better. We arrived for a late check in, there was no one at the property beaides the security guard. We reserved a beach front terrace and got a bungalow in the back of the property. On top of that the room had no lockto which the hotel rep said not to worry.... how cpuld I sleep im a place without being able to lock my door? Skip the hassle, go somewhere else.

My stay at Libelula was truly wonderful! The hotel is located in the most pristine part of the Tulum beach, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are beautiful. A real gem of a place, highly recommend !

We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful hidden gem that’s located in the reserve. It is away from the crowds of Tulum yet super close to commute back and forth by walking (if you prefer) but we had a scooter and it an amazing experience so we were able to go up and down the zona hotelera in a second. Overall we highly recommend getting a scooter I think for this type of town it’s very useful. The beach side of the hotel is amazing, it’s secluded and you are only surrounded by water and palm trees, not like other hotels which sit next to each other so you have more crowds. Whichever one you prefer but this one is very private experience if you want more of a party ambiance you have to go the the other side of zona hotelera. The rooms are nice and clean, we had an AC and a fan and it was perfect. They have a restaurant and a bar on site so you can grab a drink or have lunch and don’t have to go anywhere else. The staff is very nice and friendly and overall we had a great time and would recommend it!!!

Libelula embodies chic yet unpretentious barefoot luxury. From the perfect bed to velvet sand, through lush gardens, to hammocks in palms, glorious beanbag beach loungers, and warm turquoise water, from groovy music, evening conversation at the intimate thatch bar, to complete solitude, Libelula has it all. Thank you George, Armando, and the rest of the staff-cheers to the cooks for extra amazing grilled shrimp quesadillas, huevos with pumpkin seed salsa, the best tortillas ever! Amazing experience especially when you are looking for a chill relaxing vibe vacation. Close to nature, away from the busy side of Tulum. You get a private beach within seconds and not too crowded. It's literally so peaceful. Staff is so great. The rooms are kept cleaned everyday. No issues and there is also AC and a fan inside. Food is super delicious with great portions. The person who works at the bar is very knowledgeable when it comes to drinks! 10/10 would recommend and would come back again! The greatest experience and Im glad we did not do the basic all inclusive. You won't regret coming to this place.

Libelua is a great property in every way. Small, low-key atmosphere removed from the hectic hotel zone. Pristine tropical beach setting with an amazing staff that make you feel like a special guest and a welcome friend. Top-notch food and drinks as well. Our four-night stay was perfect.

No hubo agua durante toda la mañana

Our stay at Libelula was not only more than what we were expecting, it was exactly what we needed. A total disconnect and an absolutely spectacular escape. The location is incredible, and the site is amazing. But more than this, the team and the vibe are something of a cross between incredible night out at a sophisticated boutique hotel and a glamping hideaway in a nature reserve. The service, the tempo, the food, the comfort are all spot on. We will definitely be coming back! Noam
