Great location near the beach, restaurants and convenience stores. We had a studio that opened onto the shared pool, which was nice to have in June heat. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job. The only minor issues were a couple of wooden doors, one in the bathroom that kept swinging in the way and the other the door into the studio that didn’t seem to close securely. Checking in was a little confusing as there are three different buildings, but staff were helpful in guiding us down the street to our entrance.

Great room, very clean, and the front office was very pleasant and helpful. The proximity to some fine restaurants and the beach could not be beat!

Beautiful property! The pool area was like a secret garden and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. My only complaints were that our room was located across the street from a restaurant that was loud at night and that we were unable to relax at the pool for half of our stay since other guests reserved the lounge chairs for the whole day.

The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed at for 5 days was spacious with a big kitchen, fully equipped with a microwave, oven, coffee maker, dishes. It also had 2 large terraces for lounging and entertaining and a huge king sized bed in each bedroom with its own full shower and a washer/dryer. Everything you could ask for plus a living room and kitchen table. We loved it. We stayed at "Casa Mini"

Excellent location

We loved the property! It was quiet, clean, luxurious and close to everything! The pool was very nice and the bed was so comfortable...I could go on! Amazing place! We will return!

We have already booked a return trip staying at the Refugio del mar

We loved the area it was in and the room was really comfy. There was water provided for us and the shower was amazing!

Property is a beautiful clean place and local shops are nearby. The beach is just walking distance. Amazing staff.

The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. The location is 2 blocks from the beach and the property includes free beach chairs and umbrellas. They also provide free top of the line bikes. It wasn’t very busy when we were there so everything was readily available. Jorge, the owner is attentive and super helpful. We had an amazing stay.

Lovely place to stay

Beautiful and central to everything. It was a very comfortable stay. We will definitely stay there in the future.

The place is a small exquisite place that I really liked. Beach and eateries were close. Because I was injured and couldn’t walk upstairs I was very disappointed that the elevators were not working because I couldn’t enjoy my time the family on the roof jacuzzi or pool :( Also, the place came equipped with plates, cups, utensils etc but were not supplied with soap/sponge to wash dishes or napkins. Some complimentary coffee/tea would have been much appreciated. Other than this, we enjoyed our time in this beautiful place.

Always a wonderful stay!

After leaving we were told Jorge would send an email. 4 days - 8 emails, 3 chats, 2 FB messages, 8 phone callsand no response. BAD communication!!!!! no response to multiple attempts over various platforms. Good location, nice rooms. they have beach chairs, beach umbrellas and bikes. Refugio has great restaurants around -

Comfortable, quiet, close to beach and good dining options. Outstanding staff. Bottom units can be a little dark, not a lot of natural sunlight...but we did not spend much time in the room other than sleeping.
