The hotel itself is fairly central and is modern and warm.
I felt scammed by our stay there which has left a sour taste in my mouth. On arrival we were told by the receptionist (who spoke excellent English) that breakfast was included in our stay, the literature in the room also said this. In the morning we went to breakfast and selected what we wanted from a list (with no prices on it). At check out we were told we had to also pay our bill from the restaurant, despite only having the complimentary breakfast. When I questioned this the receptionist said 'well it's only another $10each, it's nothing'. I tried to explain my reasons but was met with a shrug. I paid up, despite feeling totally scammed. The receptionist then point blank refused to tell us where the bus to Chisinau went from, instead suggesting we take a taxi as it was 'only $60'. I told her we wanted to take the bus numerous times, but she was insistent we took a taxi and didn't tell us where the bus went from. We eventually compromised and took the taxi to the bus station. The hotel is fine if you are not on a budget and are not independent travellers/ backpackers. I felt the staff were scamming us, and although it wasn't loads of money, it does mean that I would not recommend this hotel.
