The location is great. Very central and walkable to major sights, stores, etc. The service is really great as well. At times difficult to communicate, but falling back on Google Translate always worked, and the staff always went out of their way to help me.

Un guest house très sympathique, abordable et vraiment bien situé! Un seul petit bémol : les rideaux aux fenêtres de la chambre ne bloquent pas la lumière (ils sont principalement décoratifs). Ça peut poser problème pour les personnes qui ont besoin d’être complément dans le noir pour dormir.

Sara's mum, Milli, as mentioned in all the reviews before, is the best thing about the place! She made me feel so welcome and like family. I would definitely stay again. The hostel is a bit tricky to find, as you have to access it through the courtyard of the building and the signposts aren't very clear. It is on the second floor, and the stairwell is quite run down and has no light at night, so it's good to come prepared for that. The area is close to the uni and seemed good otherwise, although it can seem a bit dodgy at first. Milli however provided me with a map and pointed out to me the places to go to and so on, so that was great. I had a great experience here as my first night in Mongolia, and would love to return!

Our family stayed there two nights. We all enjoyed our stay very much. The host, Sara's mom, was very kind and helpful during our stay. The location is good to walk around down-town, though it is a bit difficult to find it. Very good value for money and surely recommend for back-back trip or family trip.

友人の家に訪問したような気分でした。 スーツケースをもって階段を3階だったか4階だったかまであがるのはとても大変でした。それに、モンゴルに慣れていない人は、この普通のアパートの暗い階段がちょっと大変かもしれません。 チェックアウトのときはホテルの人が荷物を運ぶのを手伝ってくれました。 朝ご飯も準備してくれて、よかったです。 チェックインの時刻を事前に知らせておらず、荷物だけでも預かってもらおうと思って早めに行きましたが、チェックインできたのはよかったです。 けれど、そのあとホテルの人が出かけてしまったので、もし到着が1時間遅れてしまったら、チェックインもできず、中にも入れなかったのでは？と思ったので、到着時刻をできるだけ連絡しておく方がよいかもしれません。

Very nice family -owned guesthouse. Sara is very kind and helpful and the whole atmosphere is very family-like, especially having breakfast together in the mornings.

Very nice guesthouse. Sara and Nara are really nice and will help you with anything. If you have the chance you should visit Sara's tourist ger camp outside of the city. Highly recommended.

I went to Mongolia to take a quick look and learn something new. I was NOT disappointed and Sarah's Guest House was just perfect. The house is quiet and clean with a wonderful breakfast. Sara makes it like you are at home in this wonderful and interesting country. English is well spoken and the guests are from everywhere imaginable. Need tips ? Sarah is a great resource to have. Definitely planning to return to Mongolia and Sara's Guest House is where I will want to stay. Thank you Sarah !

I stayed here with my husband for about a week in June 2017 and we really enjoyed our time here. Sara and her husband Nara are excellent hosts, and the property is very clean, attractive, and well organized! Very comfortable as well. Sara and Nara went out of their way to help us organize the logistics of our upcoming 2 month research trip in Mongolia, even taking us to visit their family 100 km west of the city to buy a horse. You will sleep well, enjoy the views and central location, and feel like family when you leave. They really work to help you out, not just trying to make money.

Thank you, Sara, Millie, and Nara for making my experience in Mongolia a memorable one! I was supposed to stay for just 1 night before I find a hotel that I could stay in. I ended up staying there during my whole stay in Ulaanbaatar! Millie, Sara's mom was so warm and accommodating from the get-go. She made sure I felt right at home, and made the yummiest home-cooked breakfast (mixed Western and Mongolian food) ever! The guest house itself is clean, well-kept, quaint, and comfortable. All rooms have big windows where the natural light comes in nicely. The wooden floors are polished and the room smells fresh. I would definitely recommend Sara's Guest House to anyone planning a trip to Ulaanbaatar!

We enjoyed the stay in Sara's guest house while we were in Ulaanbaatar. Sara offered us an excellent communication and service, and a ride from the airport. The place is very convenient in the center of the city. The not-so-good parts would be no elevator to go up to the unit, and the shower is a little crowd.
