This stay at Carrubba was disappointing. The room was poor; a low ceiling meant we had to crawl into bed, dated and poor quality furnishing, no bottled water, no tea/coffee facilities etc. There was a nasty smell from the drains in the room and on the stairs. In addition, it seemed as if the terrace was not for the sole use of the residents and in nearly every case, was already reserved for outside guests, so when we wanted to get a drink we were restricted. There was also a bad smell from the water at the side of the hotel. The overall impression from all staff was that they were not really bothered. We had 6 rooms booked, so quite an investment. Much nicer places to stay for the money.

A beautiful property with the best view in Montenegro of the bay. The food at the hotel was top quality, great flavour combinations and served by excellent staff.

Great view close to the Tivat Airport. Just no iron for clothing.

Loved staying here! The location is quiet and still a beautiful, short walk to Porto Montenegro. The view is just beautiful and the breakfast was so delicious.

This is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms in a fabulous position in the village of Donja Lastva, about one mile from Tivat, right on the waterfront overlooking Boka Bay. Cleanliness is excellent and the reception staff speak good English and are exceedingly helpful. It is a 19th century two storey building and has no lift so this should be borne in mind for those with limited mobility. There are two restaurants in the village one of which, Punto Crudo, is connected to the hotel and provides an excellent free breakfast to hotel guests. Dinner is served from 5.00 pm and the food is of a good international standard although the menu is limited. Big Ben restaurant is about 700 metres away towards Tivat. This is a lively, noisy restaurant which should appeal to younger people. There are numerous restaurants a little further on in Tivat at various price levels and are just a short taxi ride away. There are minor inconveniences like no local taxis near the hotel (they are called to the hotel from Tivat); no snacks, just drinks, are available at the hotel between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm but the excellent breakfast should see one through the day. I recommend this hotel for those who enjoy peaceful surroundings and the ability to swim in the sea directly from the hotel quay.

Personalet var langt fra imødekommende og serviceniveauet var ikke eksisterende. Vi havde booket et værelse med balkon men fik et uden og maden på hotellet var ikke særlig god.

Would have loved to stay longer at this cozy hotel! Super helpful and friendly staff, nice and cool room and a wonderful restaurant outside. The location just by the water is dreamy and we appreciated that it was a little bit away from all the other hotels and restaurants. Nice and calm area with a short walk to other beach bars, restaurants etc. We had to have an early check out to get to the flight and missed out on the breakfast, but they packed us three(!) generous boxes with sandwiches, pastries, chia puddings and fruit. The only negative thing that I could think of is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. But on the other hand the staff gladly helped us with our bags - so big plus for them!

Beautiful place friendly staff

Carubba was exactly as lovely as we have been thought beforehand. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was special but the portions were hugh! We could have leave the food but it was too good to leave! The room (12) was probably the best! One tiny minus concerns the small area between the sea and sun beds. It could have been cleaned daily.

Room12 will lovely private balcony was so special. Helpful staff. Nice AC. Breakfast was delicious.
