Bon séjour à Casa Lila & Spa.
Grande chambre, le personnel est adorable et au petit soin.
Lit confortable, le petit déjeuner est copieux et c’est agréable de le prendre sur la terrasse.
Bonne situation géographique dans la Médina.
J’ai pu avoir ma chambre en avance car elle était disponible.
J’ai apprécié le calme à l’intérieur du Riad car dehors c’est très bruyant et mouvementé.
Le ménage n’est pas parfait mais ça reste très correct.
Je recommande néanmoins les chambres en étage car plus lumineuses, la mienne au rez de chaussée était sombre.

I am nearly 70 years old, I find it hard to say it out loud, I have been travelling for 50 years, I have visited maybe 80 different countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This is , quite simply, one of the best of them all. Can I try to explain why ?
On arrival it is so unassuming; a small entrance from a busy street in the middle of the ancient Medina. A single sign, it would be easy to miss, but inside, it is like Doctor Who’s Tardis: only about 10 bedrooms arranged over four levels; each built around a central courtyard with tables, sunbeds and so on
It is immaculately clean and artistically decorated
The top floor is quiet, peaceful with a great view over the city. A perfect place to spend two hours with a book on sunny afternoon
The breakfast is one of the beds, not just as the food is so imaginative, but because of the friendly service, and the stunning location
We LOVED our bedroom: a large comfortable bed, high quality cotton (or was kt line ?) sheets and pillows, spotlessly clean, an architecturally stunning bathroom, tea, coffee, air con. We had it all, a little oasis among the hustle and bustle of the Medina
Top of the pops though come the staff at the hotel and that means everyone: a fine team,. Everybody friendly, everybody knowing their jobs. Nothing was too much to ask. They really made this feel like home
Finally, here is to tip. The hotel does not have a permanent restaurant but Expedia's limit on characters won't let me tell you anymore

Lovely stay in ideal location with attentive staff, good views and great breakfast served on terrace. Booked in for hamam which was very enjoyable. Only downside was we had the top apartment that opened onto terrace which was a lovely apartment with own breakfast table, but shower flooded so you had to be quick, the buildings AC unit was on our roof and noisy at night, and the town is full of seagulls that woke you up early. None of this would be a problem on lower floors.

Lovely breakfast on the roof top
Bedroom was nicely decorated but a bit damp. Needs a dehumidifier.
Door handle/ lock coming away from door. No security at all, anyone could have got through windows from courtyard into the room

Didn’t use the spa at the Riad, however I did use one in town it was amazing price very reasonable. The Riad itself was nice . People at reception were very friendly. Overall I docommand this Road

Petit-déjeuner avec pain rassi et brioche réchauffée non fraîche également. Café froid le 2eme jour. Gâteaux non fait maison. Petit dejeuné le moins bon de nos 2 semaines au Maroc.
Le sol de la chambre était sale. Peut-être que comme nous sommes arrivées en avance, ils ont voulu nous donner la chambre rapidement mais nous aurions préféré attendre plus et être à l'aise en marchant pieds nus. En tous cas c'était très sale.

Casa Lila is a simply beautiful 300 year old riad, within the walls of the medina, an easy walk to everywhere in Essaouira. The people who work there are warm, lovely and welcoming- they are so helpful, and they love their city. We had a wonderful stay.

Amazing stay. Such a nice riad with an absolutely lovely staff. I was blown away when shown my room. So nice, beautiful and cozy. Absolutely loved it. I had both hamam and massage when I stayed and that was such a relaxing experience as well. Loved it and would definitely come back another time when visiting Essaouira.

Un riad superbe au coeur de la medina,une chambre magnifique et spacieuse, un petit spa doté de masseuses discretes et tres efficaces, et surtout un acceuil d’une grande qualité, chaleureux et convivial…. Un vrai bonheur… nous etions comme à la maison….
