The owner of riad is very friendly and helpful to carry luggage for us when we check-in. Room is beautifully renovated and the rooftop is offering a nice view of the city and the Mosque on the hill top.

Awesome property, highly recommended. Close to everything and great customer service.

Dar MD was absolutely stunning. The staff was so helpful. Abdoul led us to a beautiful restaurant and even helped us figure out what to pay for items so we were treated fair. I would highly recommend and hope to visit again!

Lindamente decorado: quarto não é grande, mas muito confortável. Atendimento da equipe foi bem atencioso e ótimo café da manhã. Localização próxima da praça principal (7-8 min caminhada) e c muitas lojinhas pelo caminho.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dar MD! The location is very good for viewing the different sites of Chefchaouen. It was also located close to a very good restaurants: El Ciello and La Tirana. There was lots of storage in the room and the lightning was thoughtfully laid out. The shower was the best that we experienced in Morocco! The entrance to the Dar is beautiful and breakfast was delicious and with nice views from the rooftop. The front desk was very helpful to arrange a taxi to the bus station and to help us with our luggage. We were pleased with our choice in the Dar MD.

“A Hidden Gem” This beautiful, family-owned hotel is tucked away in a stunning location — a bit hard to get to, with parking a distance away and plenty of steps to climb, but absolutely worth it. The family who runs it are wonderfully kind, attentive, and genuinely care for their guests like family. Every detail feels personal, warm, and full of heart.

Great place- excellent breakfast. Loved the location. Very nice workers who helped arrange transportation from Tangier and to Fes.

Beautiful clean, attractive, with new furnishings, helpful hosts who speak excellent English and delicious breakfast. Note that because this a historic neighborhood and riad, there is a steep walk to get to the building and internal staircases to reach the rooms, so you may need to call ahead to ask for help with luggage.

Had a disappointing stay. During checkout I had 3 big bags and a child, but the front desk staff didn’t even offer to open the door or help at all. He saw us struggling with the bags, taking to the car that was parked downhill with so many staircases. I also asked for an early packed breakfast, but they only prepared for 2 people instead of 3, and just said “sorry.” Very unfriendly service.

Great location and wonderful staff. Rooms were clean and comparable with good AC. Rooms were fairly small but that was apparent from pictures when we booked. El Ceilo restaurant across the street was fantastic. Very helpful staff that arranged transport from Tangier and then on to Fes.
