Riad Almazhar

Staff asked us to pay $170 MAD city tax when we checked out in hurry. We subsequently realised we had already paid that at the time of booking. In short, staff asked us to double pay what we have already paid. That’s not right. :(

Riad Almazhar is a pleasant riad conveniently located within the medina. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the common open courtyard relaxing and the breakfast was a very nice traditional one that for us was filling. A plus is its location with an easy walk to transportation outside the medina as well as to the whole medina and to Nouvelle Ville and the kasbah. Our manager was extremely helpful in arranging a cab to the train station which we really appreciated.

The staff were wonderful and the riad beautiful and very clean. We had the honeymoon double and it was amazing. Great location.

Lovely authentic riad right in the Medina. Enjoyed it very much and would stay again. The breakfast was wonderful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The only problem for some would be the stairs there is no elevator so if u can’t climb stairs request a room on the ground level

it is quite oasis in middle of Rabat city it is a critrsic place

An excellent Riad in the heart of the Rabat Medina. Close walk to the river, Beach, and Kasbah. Super friendly staff.

Host and staff were great. My flight came in early and they allowed for an early check in. Rooms were spacious and clean. Air conditioning worked well.

It was simply one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The staff were terrific. The breakfasts were amazing--a lot of very fresh food. Everyone was very sweet.

Un Riad muy lindo y la dueña muy amable.

Located in a hidden alleyway in the Medina, this Riad would be an attractive choice for many. Rooms are not spacious and the bathroom is tiny but the beds were very comfortable.

For our 2 week stay in Morocco, we booked Riad Almazhar as a stop over while we passed through Rabat one night. We booked some roads, some hotels, which included some 5 star hotels as well. Out of the full journey, we definitely loved Riad Almazhar a lot during our trip and the quality is similar to a premium hotel stay. The Riad is quaint and beautiful. The staff welcomed us with tea and completed a quick check in. The room we booked on the rooftop floor was spacious and clean, with a TV and king bed. All modern amenities. Breakfast the following morning was delicious, as the staff were so friendly. Honestly the best breakfast we had in a riad, as some riads are stingy about quality products provided. The riad is centrally located too, though I’m not sure it would be good for solo or female travelers to be out late in the evening if this is a consideration for you. Rabat is overall safe, but parts of the Medina were dim when I took a walk. Of course, just be cautious and respectful. Overall, 10/10.

The property is beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpful. Location is close to site seeing areas, the Kasbah and shopping area. We were very happy with our stay at this Riad, and I recommend it. I would love to stay at this Riad again should I visit Rabat.

A beautiful riad off a quiet street and just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the medina. Had an amazing breakfast spread with fresh coffee, orange juice, fruit, breads, jams, and eggs made to order. The owner was very nice and helpful and made us feel right at home. The courtyard area is beautiful and we were welcomed with mint tea and a pastry upon check-in. So nice after traveling for 15 hours. The beds were comfortable. There were only two things that were of slight concern. The sheets had a couple tiny tiny stains, but they changed them the next morning upon request. And there was a giant roach in the room, which the evening concierge gave me spray to kill. Insect critters are no surprise to me in an accommodation where open windows are welcomed, but I was just alarmed by it and and kind of thought the concierge would take care of it heh. But she gave me the courage to kill it, shone her light on it, and swept it out afterward!

In the Medina a 10 min walk from taxi drop off. We had a very bright room on the top floor. Charming. Good Moroccan breakfast. Very friendly and courteous staff.

Lovely Riad and lovely staff. The room was comfortable but there is no mini fridge. Great breakfast.
