Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon

Very good and safe place to stay.

The Chatrium is reputed to be one of the luxury hotels in Yangon. It did not measure up to my idea of luxury. The room was nice, but the toilet did not flush completely. My room felt like it was above a club even though the club was across the street. I could feel the beat vibrations in the room. My experience was also tainted by the huge amount of people at the hotel because of the Thingyan festival. It was not a quiet, relaxing experience. They did, however, have really good fish and chips.

First time staying for a quick staycation. Will be back. Room was wonderful. Food outstanding and service outstanding

Fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from arrival until departure. The view from the room was amazing and the room was spotless. Could not find fault with this hotel.

This was my second time staying at Chatrium and they really rolled out the red carpet for me! They upgraded my room and left me a complimentary fruit basket and personalized welcome letter. The room amenities were upgraded too. This is my favorite hotel for staycatuons by far and their spa is top notch and their dinner options are superior. I must also mention how their breakfast caters to Western tastes with also vegetarian options and local Burmese options. The cafe has so much to offer as well, and their wait staff--especially Ms. Bam Bam are extremely friendly, helpful, and doting. I highly recommend staying here and taking advantage of all the offerings.

I love how it wasn’t just a hotel. It was an immersion into Thai, but also Myanmar culture. The restaurant served the best international breakfast I’ve had while in Asia and it also had the best Thai food I’ve had in either Thailand or Myanmar. The staff goes above and beyond, and they are super friendly and helpful. they have many things on site such as their spa, but they also have a very beautiful swimming pool. They upgraded my room so that I could have a stunning view of the famous pagoda. Needless to say, I will be staying here again, and I might make it a monthly staycation.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful facilities and landscaping, friendly and attentive service. (Kaleb the IT genius was extremely helpful in resolving my WiFi connection issues. Great kid.) Second time staying here, first time in 2020. I’ve also stayed at the Wyndham but much prefer this property. Will definitely return in the future.

Добротный олдскульный отель в центре, парк через дорогу. Номера нормальные, красивое лобби, еда в ресторанах тоже вполне себе вкусная, но дороговато. Цена за номер вполне адекватна, вернемся еще.

The hotel is located next to a big lagoon which is perfect for running. It is surrounded with trees, looks and feels exotic. One of the best features of this hotel is how friendly and accommodating the staffs are. We arrived late and our room was ready with the air-conditioning on and a tea sachet with a sweet note from the room service staff. We have to leave very early to catch an early flight and the breakfast was ready as they promised. They have good selection of food and everything was perfectly delivered.

Beautiful hotel, but of course, my impression was coloured by the fact that they upgraded me to a Club Level room on the top floor with marvellous views of the Shwedagon Pagoda lit up at night. How could I not be happy? Excellent value for money even had I not gotten the upgrade. A copious buffet breakfast was included in the price and staff were delightful. Swimming pool was enormous and surrounded by swaying palms. Pity I was only overnighting ...
