The environment was quiet and green so it was refreshing and relaxing to stay there. Also, the breakfast served was great as the portion is large. The staff smiled when they saw you which made you feel like respected. The facilities inside the room is adequate. However, there is a 15-min walk from bus drop-off point to this hotel so I recommend those who arrive Kalaw by afternoon can choose this hotel.

A very good place to spend your holidays

Beautiful villa situated on a hill. 15min comfortable walking to the city center. Delicious breakfast (ordered à a carte). Very eco-friendly (plastic free). Big comfortable room. Only negative point: it is rather cold in the rooms, so a heater included would be great (you can pay for one though). Staff very helpful with recommendations for activities around town.

Wonderfully quaint hotel with superb breakfast. And very affordable. Also extra points for seriously trying to be ecological with no plastic etc But super cold in January so pack enough clothes!

Chambre simple et froide en décembre. Pas dans le centre ville. Faire appel à un tuktuk via la GH. Les restos en ville ferment tôt. Petit déjeuner dans le jardin. Possibilité soit d'eufs ou crêpes ou shan noodles.

Great stay, super friendly keeper. There is no food in the evening, plan ahead.

So bad I checked out a day early and went to another hotel. 18 hours of no electricity. No back up generator. At one point no water. During rainy season. I ran into other guest in lobby wearing a towel becuase she was unable to shower. Breakfast was good, but took 30 minutes of more to arrive. Waited more than 20 minutes for coffee to arrive. Other tables just gave up and left. I live in Myanmar and have been to Kalaw many times. I will come back to Kalaw. But will never stay here again, I don;t think I have ever forfeited the last night and moved to another hotel in my life.

· le petit déjeuner est juste superbe! Le personnel adorable! Le chambres ont de l'espace. Lors de notre enregistrement, on nous a donné une chambre classique même si nous avions réservé un supérieur. mais ce n'était pas grave et pas du tout dérangeant; On est venu s'excuser et nous proposer la chambre supérieur. On n'a pas changé finalement. Le quartier très calme en général; mais attention! s'il y ad'autres clients qui partent vers 4hrs du mat ( randonnée? départ? ) ils peuvent faire du bruit. Et la villa s'active pour leur préparer à manger. A part cet incident, nous étions très content de notre bref séjour. A recommander! ( attention les nuits sont fraîches!). N'oubliez pas de jeter le papier toilette dans la poubelle, pas dans la cuvette, partout en Birmanie!)

My stay at Hillock Villa and Kalaw was a pleasant escape from the heat of the plains. Temperatures were significantly lower and thoughts turned from air conditioners to duvets. Hillock Villa is up a hill from the town, in a lightly wooded setting. The impression was positive from arrival, given the attractive buildings, grounds, and setting. My room in the main house was large, the bed was comfortable (and made with a duvet and a blanket!). The breakfast was tasty and filling with homemade bread, fruit, local options and eggs....and very good coffee. The walk into town is about 10 minutes. Definitely recommended!

위치는 아무래도 중심지에서 조금 올라가야해서 힘들엇지만 그만큼 조용하고 좋긴햇너요 다만 껄로 자체가 추운곳인데 숙소는 더 춥더라두요ㅜㅜ 이쁘고 친절하시고 다 좋은데 숙소가 추워서 옷 껴입고 잣어요ㅜㅜ 히터만 있우면 정말 좋을거같어요

Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Très belle maison d'hôte aux allures de chalet alpin. Petit déjeuner copieux. Les patrons sont sensibles à l'écologie et au tri des déchets. Seul bémol, absence de chauffage dans la chambre et les nuits d'hiver sont assez fraîches à Kalaw.

Charmantes B&B, leckeres Frühstück a la carte, sehr nettes & hilfsbereites Personal. Zimmer geräumig & sauber, Bäder sehr basic.

O hotel é charmoso, a equipe é super atenciosa, o quarto que ficamos era amplo e confortavel, mas a noite fazia um frio....acho que as janelas não fecham direito. O banheiro precisa urgentemente de melhorias, não combina com o resto do estabelecimento. Café da manhã muito bom!

Relaxing

Hotel paradisiaque, très paisible, au milieu de la forêt! Accueil excellent, et personnel très présent pour toute demande. Chambre spacieuse et très propre, beaucoup de charme. Je recommande absolument!

Great place to stay before a hike to Inle Lake. Go for a walk up the hill to the temple cave. Clean rooms with excellent hot water. Breakfast is more than one can eat and delicious

I stayed here for only one night but it was a nice little pleasant stay. The staff are very nice and accommodating to requests. In fact, it was my birthday when I stayed and when i checked into the room, i was welcomed with a big personalised happy birthday message "written" with rose petals on the bed! The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable as well! Very comfortable night's sleep.

Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes et un peu vieillottes. La literie n'est vraiment pas confortable et lit est à changer !;( sinon l'environnement est sympa et le personnel très aimable.

Das Team ist der Hammer, die Unterkunft selbst auch. Wir durften während unseres Aufenthaltes drei verschiedene Zimmer kennenlernen und jedes war für sich toll. Am allerbesten ist dann noch die Frühstücksauswahl, frisch und lecker! Ob abends am Kamin den Tag ausklingen lassen, oder tagsüber eine Runde in der Hängematte entspannen, hier ist man gut aufgehoben. Optimaler Startpunkt für Hiking und mehr. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

een plek om tot rust te komen, tenminste zo werkte dat bij mij. De iets duurdere kamers zijn echt beter en het geld waard(met/zonder kluisje en (nog)rustiger gelegen). De mensen die er werken zijn allemaal top, het internet vrij stabiel, de vlinders in de tuin te mooi en het ontbijt super. Iets buiten de stad maar net niet te ver. De cave tempel een aanrader.
