The hotel was great. The staff are wonderful. They are very friendly. The concierge could not do enough for me. The food is excellent. And the rooftop bar/restaurant is fantastic.
But there is little to do in Windhoekitself. I had to take trips to the various areas of interest. If you’re going to go to Windhoek, sign up for a group tours ahead of time. I had to hire individual drivers since the group tour were all booked up.

The Hilton is beautifully modern and provides a nice, standardized hotel experience, which can be a nice starting or ending point for experiencing Namibia. However, the hotel was our least favorite of the five hotels/lodges we stayed at during our Namibia roadtrip. We were disappointed that the gleaming ambiance was overpriced for the service and comforts provided. The hotel is formal, professional, and ‘Westernized’, which can be desired at times. If you’re looking for interaction with others and a cultural experience, this is not the ideal place to stay. If you are looking for a place to work and get some quit time in a familiar hotel-ish environment with easy room service, the hotel provides this opportunity.

The hotel is at a great location. Everything is fairly close by including the museum just a 5 5 minutes walk. The staff were okay. The staff in the restaurant and at the men working at the entrance were amazing whereas other staff in other department could have been better and more helpful.
