Unfortunately, our one-night stay at Hotel Monastère was overshadowed by an unacceptable hygiene issue. On the morning of our departure, we found two cockroaches in our room (Room 215), one even crawling on the bed. We took photos as proof (see attached image). We had very little time before check-out, so we didn’t report it to the front desk in person – instead, we emailed the hotel shortly after. While the hotel did respond, the tone of the replies was more focused on what we supposedly did wrong (not informing reception immediately, not showing the insects) than on sincerely addressing the issue. Cockroaches in a hotel room are not a minor inconvenience – this is a serious cleanliness and maintenance failure. The offered 25% refund did not reflect the severity of the situation, and the lack of understanding in the follow-up communication made it worse. We expected a much more professional and guest-focused handling of this incident. Definitely not the experience we had hoped for.

Fantastic property, conveniently located in the middle of everything. Staff is friendly and room (suit) was spacious and clean. Highly recommended.

Fint hotell centralt beläget med restauranger och affärer runt hörnet. Bra parkering ett par minuters promenad från hotellet. Rummet rent och fräscht och frukosten helt ok.

Good location but the carpeting in the room was old and dirty.

Auf den ersten Blick alles gut, aber auf den zweiten Blick Abzüge! Zimmer niedlich, Bett bequem, Klimaanlage. Aber sehr staubig, keine Verstaumöglichkeiten und hellhörig. Regendusche, die Verschwemmung im Bad verursacht. Kein Abzug oder Febster im Bad, Luft und Gerüche stehen drin. Frühstück teuer, wer vegan möchte, muss jeden Tag extra nach Pflanzendrink fragen, sehr unangenehm, kommt einem wie Betteln vor. Kein veganes Joghurt, kein Käse- oder Wurstersatz, obwohl beim Check-in vegan erbeten. Brot und Brötchen lecker, frisches Obst und Haferflocken. Für den Preis nicht an alle gedacht. Lage top, schöne Aussicht in Innenhof.

Abluft von der Küche war sehr laut ab 5 Uhr morgens Frühstück war okay Sauber Sehr sehr freundliches Personal

Die zentrale Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Auch die vorhandene Parkmöglichkeit wenige Meter vom Hotel war in Ordnung und zudem preiswert (14,00 EUR/Tag).
