Great Breakfast, lovely room, very close to the town square

No, no, no and one more time NO. Place looks amazing, yet the service requires much improvement. I wanted to have some sleep, yet guests of the room opposite to mine had a party in their room and hallway. I called reception to come and calm them down, yet I was ignored. Instead of having nice 8 hrs sleep I had 4 hrs and I missed my breakfast. Morning receptionist was very apologetic yet absolutely useless.

Værelset var rigtig fint og rummelig. Toilet og brusebad adskilt i 2 afdelinger hvilket fungerede godt.

Het hotel is geweldig. Mooie schone kamers en erg ruim en knus. Het ontbijt is fantastisch, ruim aanbod voor zowel liefhebbers van zoet als hartig. En het personeel is attent en heel vriendelijk. Wij hadden een waterkoker die vol zat met kalk, de volgende dag stond er een nieuwe voor ons klaar nadat we het bij de receptie hadden doorgegeven. Dat is de service die je hoopt te krijgen en het hotel voldeed daar helemaal aan.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt.

A beautiful hotel right next to the old square which is lined with excellent bars and restaurants. A great spot, could not have asked for more.

Badkamer was niet goed schoongemaakt en shampoo was niet bijgevuld, raam kon na openen niet meer dicht maar ergste van alles was het lawaai buiten door jongeren tussen 02.00 en 05.00.

Gedateerd maar gezellig hotel. Supervriendelijk personeel!!!

The building is fantastic and worth a visit just for that. The service on site was good. However the service with the room and after stay was very poor. The Deluxe room (with balcony) was booked. The room received was downgraded multiple levels. Raised issue at the front desk, lady on reception confirmed my room query was valid and I was in the wrong room... Room 115! The room had a lot of dead spiders on the lip of the bathroom and dust. Window was locked and not a balcony. When I contacted Hotels.com for a refund in room rate difference, hotel Merici denies the room was not incorrectly assigned. Having had the conversation with the hotel and for this reason alone, I wouldn’t stay here again. Overall a poor experience, from a place that has the possibility to be good.

Nette hotel, jammer dat ze zo achterlijk doen met parkeren. In hun gedeelte bij de openbare garage kost het €15,- per dag terwijl de garage kost €5,- per dag Echt belachelijk Maar verder is het nette

We went for a couples time away. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only issue we had is that we had to pay for our service animal. This is very unthoughtful when someone has a disability. Most places don’t charge.
