Chateau on the Park - Christchurch a DoubleTree by Hilton

Good hotel, handy to a bunch of nice restaurants and close to the city. The room was a little outdated, the bed was very uncomfortable and the Ac wasn’t working properly. Also, the water faucet had an issue and no cold water was coming out

Great location, awesome staff

Nice hotel with lovely gardens. Out of the way and shuttle has inconvenient hours (first leaves hotel at 10:30 and last time back is 4:30). Be prepared to walk the 30 minutes from the city centre or to get an uber if you're interests are more city-focused. Also check with any tour operators ,because some do not pick up at the hotel because it is out of the way. Food was good, service was great, but not the place for you if you want to be in the CBD.

This is a great place to stay in Christchurch near the botanical gardens and a lovely walk to the city center. I wish we could have taken advantage of the included breakfast on our last day but our flights were changed and we had to depart before it opened. Friendly staff and wonderful warm cookies. The rooms are a little dated and there was some rubbish that was not picked up for a period of time. I would definitely stay here again

Very nice hotel, and we particularly enjoyed being able to walk to the beautiful park nearby.

We had a good stay at Christ church. The bed was really comfortable. Staff was very helpful. They were in process of renovations but still nice hotel.

Very nice hotel, interesting architecture, lots of green gardens, food was excellent. A park and golf course across the street, botanic gardens there is awesome and free, a 10 minute drive into downtown on the other side of the park.

Friendly staff, beautiful gardens and nice and peaceful. The hotel is quite dated and beds too soft. There was an off-putting chlorine or bleach smell when you entered the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Beautiful gardens and well located next to a 400 acre park. Rooms need remodeled and room wasn’t available at check in time. Good breakfast

Hotel is a bit far out from town but grounds are lovely. We didn’t eat there but drinks selection was good. Staff were helpful, pool was nice. Rooms were a bit dated and tired but clean

Nicely situated in Christchurch. Enjoyed walking around the park. Easy pedestrian access to downtown through the park.

Beautiful

Typical hotel room. Large clean everything one needs. I enjoyed in room dining service after long days trekking. Food was ok. Wines were not great. Facility is beautiful with loads of gardens.

It's located across a beautiful quiet park and less than 10 mins drive from the center of Christchurch. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and with wonderful services.
