Peppers Bluewater Resort Lake Tekapo

The property it self is well located to the township, which is within a walkable distance. However the room was a cupboard, once you put your bags down you couldn't get round the bed; no other furniture in the room, not good for the price you paid, no views of the lake and parking wasn't enough for the rooms allocated in that area. Room Service facilities is also poor, they would only deliver food not drinks (water). Upside was the breakfast buffet is good.

Excellent service, especially from Sunita (I hope I recalled her name correctly—the Indian lady at the front desk). She organized transport to get us to our bus stop in heavy snowfall. Big thanks also to the lady (of Zimbabwean origin) who gave us a ride.

Very small room, very clean and the Staff very friendly and helpful. It was great that it was an easy walk to the town centre.

The room too small. No place for luggage, no place to sit

The rooms are very tight, check in was not ready when we arrived. Check in time is 3 pm and we didn't have our room till 4:30pm. Ordered some dessert at their restaurant on site they took over half an hour to give us the take out because they forgot. It is a little disorganized for the amount they charge.

Reception super friendly and offered local restaurant choices which were amazing as the hotel restaurant was booked out with a tour group the night we stayed.

Our eoom was very spacious. View right across from the lake. Clean room, comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again! My wife refused to leave until our last minute. She wanted to enjoy every second until the end.

Very nice room and stay but the standard rooms are very small

Very small studio room, glad we only stayed one night. Noisy room with A/C unit outside window. Property tried to charge extra $9 pp for breakfast because we did not prepay on check in even though it was not communicated

The breakfast buffet was the best of the dozen hotels was stayed at during our 18 day trip to Australia & New Zealand.

Peppers was close to town however that's the only thing it has going for it. Our room was a shoebox which wasn't what I expected for how much we paid, and I think the photos do a good job of masking this. The bathroom exhaust was broken so our small room was also dank, damp and had black mould growing on the ceiling and between the tiles in the bathroom. The bathroom door had water damage and peeling paint. When this issue was raised with reception they offered to change our room but then quickly realised they couldn't do that as they must have been fully booked out for the weekend. Instead they said housekeeping would check on it (in a tone that suggested they didn't believe us), and subsequently nothing was done about the mould or the exhaust. Would not come back here, you're better off staying in a hostel.

Nice property that was comfortable and close to Lake Tekapo.

Overall enjoy our stay, exceed my expectation.
